Anybody give me the heads up for what's cool in SF as far as house music goes. I have never been and don't know anything about the city as far as nightlife is concerned. I'm going during the week next week and wanted to hit up a club or two if I get the chance. Any advice?

Hey all, I'm coming from vegas next week for a business trip and was wondering if there's anything goin on as far as the club scene is concerned. Never got a chance to go out in SF when I visited before so I don't really know much about the city i.e. what's clubs are hot on what nights. I'll have a couple nights off during the week... any particulars I should check out? Definately prefer house music atmosphere other than that put a beer in my hand and I'm not picky. Thanks in advance for any info

Empire is a pretty sweet club if they can ever get their feet off the ground. It has a great setup and the soundsystem is amazing. but due to a lack of advertising and promotions they've had a hard time so far. I doubt they'll have a problem with Boris in town thought.

No ^ that's a great comeback. How long is this going to go on for? Next thing you know both of you will be breakdance fighting on the strip to see who invented which dancing move. Just let it go bro. You guys have brought something special to the hip-hop world. Nobody is disputing that, I don't think. But don't knock other people for being creative and entertaining people whether or not you have used others music. Because that's what you all strive to do right? Entertain people....

True....with the exception of ICE... Even though ICE is closing their doors in the future, they're not closing b/c of lack of profits or following, which proves that a freestanding club can make it in vegas given the correct management & marketing. However as the past has shown it's not an easy task.

True, this is the vegas board, but you have to understand that a lot of vegans go down to SD for the weekend. Not lately b/c it costs more to drive than to fly. But it's always to have options.
