  1. Don't forget Manchester (Morrisey, the Happy Mondays, the Chemical Bros anyone?), Bristol (birthplay of DnB) etc. Yeah we do have a good scene but beleive me you have to wade through a lot of shit to get to it. Problem is that in most places you have your pubs and your clubs and never the twain shall meet. Pubs close at 11 so you get a load of lairy beer monsters piling into clubs looking for chart dance and a fight. Consequently about 90% of the clubs here are dangerous, scary places selling underage girls loopy juice and watching as carnage ensues. We have a lot of issues with binge drinking cos clubs make all their money pushing cheap sweet booze down punters necks. But the rest? Wouldn't miss it for the world!
  2. other thing i needed to know - what's the door policy for these places - this girl don't do heels - trainers (sneakers) all the way! and you'll have a tough time getting the boy out of denim.
  3. Well, I think you're only as prude as the people you hang with. Give me your email and I'll let you know what I think. I think Gods Kitchen will be our best bet but it seems a shame to go to a club that is based about 60k from us back home! Also I gather Morillo is playing on the saturday but weaw him a few weeks back! C'mon NewYork you've got to have something that Manchester doesn't!
  4. Hi all, Me and the boyfriend are coming to town from sunny Manchester, UK for the weekend for some birthday fun. First time in New York so we need some serious guidance if we're gonna celebrate my birthday in the style it deserves. Back home we're lovin' the Plump DJs, Erol Alkan, DJ Yoda and all things breaks and beats. It's up to you, new york.... H
