  1. hehe. I feel like getting out of this office so i can grab some lunch.
  2. I love how so many people can critisize JP's productions or ANY production for that matter. You can say you dont lke it., but to open up a thread to write: DEAR JP - YOUR PRODUCTIONS SUCK is just plain wrong. I bet you most of the people who talk shit like that dont know the FIRST thing about music production. (ACID DOES NOT COUNT PEOPLE)
  3. wtf? the admin closed the thread on the vudu lounge just because I stated my opinion on how i would much rather get humped by a giant gorilla in space than ever go there again. Last time vudu had a sticky, i wasnt alone in expressing my feelings for that club. So whats the big deal? if anything - we are helping others make the right choice by not wasting their time with that shithole. After they screwed up that trance weekly, i dont think anyone could ever respect that place after what they did. Kick off the booked dj so his resident can throw on hip hop for 2 people that were bitching? fuck that place. that trance party was in philly before it came to the vudu and it was amazing. NYC could have used that. So since vudu screwed that up. EDIT: VUDU SUCKS
  4. into THAT scene? what scene? yo sexual orientation has nothing to do with the music..the atomsphere and the vibe. Whether u like girls or whether you like boys: Everyone still loves the music..and the event in general
  5. i have the opposite problem. For many years i had anxiety and post traumatic stress. Panic attacks like crazy tony soprano style. Smoking has done wonders. Its really helped me. Im off the anti anxiety pills and im more chilled out. Panic attacks sometimes just happen. If you associate it when something (even if its not the case)....everytime u do that..you will have an attack because your mind is convinced thats what causes it. Ive learned to deal with many of these things over the years.
  6. people bash draper too much. Its become a trend. YES HE PLAYED HARD, BUT THE GUY ISNT BAD. I bet half the people that bash him never even heard him (not talking about you guys, but many others) He is a good guy who got big really fast and because of that i think people are backlashing. The guy has skills, ive seen him wayyyy back in the day at metropolis b4 he even had a name and let me tell you he was pretty impressive. He is also a really sick turntablist(for those who dont know). He was in the koldkutz crew with dj jazzy jeff and they used to do some really sick ass shit. If people just went with an open mind, im sure they would think differently. Vicious and draper are actually quite similar. If draper played but people thought it was vicious, i bet you the people wouldnt bitch. but if they knew it was draper..the bashing would begin before even giving it a chance. BORIS is VERY similar to draper as well. Anyone else agree?
  7. We should make a national orgy day. One day where everyone is free to fuck in public. Just pick someone and begin to randomly hump them. Im off to find johnni deppppp hehe.
  8. in-freaking sane. i wonder what kind of guys actually payed these girls for head?
  9. EDIT: ehh fuck it, let me wipe out my msg. there is enough negativity in the clubworld these days, i dont need to add to it. It doesnt help by bitching. BUTT i really think alot of the newschoolers need to be taught what its about. That way they dont jump on the juicehead..skank...crackhead bandwagon. Perfect example = NJ/STATEN ISLAND & HAMPTONS "clubbers". My thing is centro-fly...i miss that place. That place emodied alot of the positive aspects of clubworld. A) you can b yourself Freindly people& Staff C) No specific type of crowd. just people having fun D) trendy, but yet us hippies in our sweatpants could still go to dance E) Everyone was of age, and the ones that werent were mature enough that u wouldnt notice..everyone seemed 23+. (i once remember seeing a bunch of asian kids who were about 18+ talking by the coat check arond 1am. ..they were saying " fuck this place..its so gay..where is the hard music..what with this trance..funk shit..whatever it is../lol) and they walked out. Centro had so many good things going for it. Crobar seems to have most of the centro "crowd"...and artists..>BUT ehh its not the same..crobar has no life. Many disagree..but the dance floor barely moved at roger sanchez..peple just bopped up and down..sipping drinks.
  10. no, the original poster is right. For a day or 2 it disapeared. I noticed that also. Now its back
  11. coke = SUCKS Heroin = Kiss your life goodbye MORON.
  12. so weed is still illegal. barely allowed for medicinal use (like 10 people in the country actually have a Rx)..BUT E..hey its all good..lol. twisted society. I think its good, because for someone in intense pain, If X releives them, then its all good with me. BUT WHY IS WEED STLL ILLEGAL!?
  13. wow, that was a fantatic analogy - thank you ( and i dont mean that in a sarastic manner); in its own way, that makes alot of sense. BUT - like socrates the philosopher once said; "everything in moderation"
  14. that was in my 1st reply. hehe, not in the 2nd - i realized i was being a bitch for no reason and i explained myself in this post and in one other on this board.
  15. not hating, just making an observation. I think that getting TOO opiniated isnt a good thing. After a while it loses its essence. How can a dj go out and play, when the whole crowd is listening to every little note, waiting for him to "fuck up" , just so they can go back to the computer and post every little detail. Its like they talk about EVERYTHING, except the good time they had. its NEVER good enough. But yet, i feel that if the same people that bitched about(for example- armin @ spirit)caught him live in IBIZA playing the SAME set, they would talk about HOW AMAZING IT WASSS.blah blah..just beacuse it went down overseas. I can honestly admit, maybe im wrong and im just looking at the downside of things instead of the upside, but sometimes it definitly feels the way i described it. BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT i just realized that im not helping..because im being a hypocrite. I'M BITCHING!..ahhh its rubbing off. hehe so i'm going to turn this post around.. NAME SOME PARTIES YOU'VE BEEN TO THAT JUST WENT DOWN AS A PERFECT MEMORABLE NIGHT. GREAT MUSIC. GREAT CROWD. I LOVEDDD ARMIN @ CROBAR. That MADE event kicked serious ass.
  16. edit: taking back my post. Not worth arguing-i got fired up too quickly. If you have a great show..and you play great music..awesome and i wish u the best. the whole scene in nyc is getting to me lately..everyone is a "dj", everyone thinks they are the shit and they know everything. I dont feel the love that i feel everywhere else in the world..--where its all about music..and unity. I feel like in NY its all about "im better than you". and i keep getting that vibe wherever i go. Its something that annoys me, but i shouldnt care. I guess i take the music and the industry a little too seriously.
  17. haah omg. dude how pathetic was that. ^. STFU man, nobody cares that your trying to plug yourself. IM GLAD YOUR LABELING YOURSELF AS AN UNDERGROUND DJ. AN UNDERGROUND DJ DOESNT GIVE HIMSELF THAT TITLE!! oh man..pathetic..plain and simple..pathetic.
  18. All you ever read on nyc posts are: "this dj was off" "this club sucked" "the crowd sucks" "music selection was bad" honestly..ONLY in NYC you hear this shit. Eveyrwhere else, people dont look soo deep into everything. They go out and enjoy themselves. But here i feel that 99% of the people are "DJS" and they simply bitch - just so they can sound like they know EVERYTTTHINGGG. does anybody else agree with me? I know overdose does. I've read alot of his posts..and it seems that he is all about going out and having fun. When others bitch he is like WHO CARES IT WAS FUNNNN. I just moved to NYC and the scene here wasnt exactly what i expected. the talent is here.BUT EVERYONE IS A CRITIC.
  19. i heard a little of it. Whenever im heading out and i'm in the car on a saturday night, i usually put it on. Kick ass show. N-yeah, giving props to others even after you "made it" is defintily a humble and awesome thing. I never heard Likwid todd spin though- does he play the same style of music you hear on solid state?
