  1. Anyone know how I can be removed from someones list for club promos that I receive by text??? This is SOOOO ANNOYING! I get one a day if not more, Soundgarden, OUTQ and more.

Yeah same here, I don't know how they got my number, when you find out out to be removed, please let me know. I have nothing against anyone, but don't like receiving these texts. I can find out whats going on at the clubs on my own.

  2. Birch Hill, PlayPen, now The Coliseum, Mothers, Club 35, Now Club Abyss, Malibu in Scotch Plains, Crocodile Cafe, which is now Deko. The Club House which turned into Shout then Paradox, now shut down I think.

Some good NJ clubs back in the day. Even Poor Billys, awesome Tuesday nite partys back in the day, anyone recall the boxing ring used as the dance floor.

New Brunswick- The Roxy and the other club across the street, having a memory loss. even Wurlitzers in Piscataway, was a hoping joint back in the day turned into Peter's Wildlife, now office Buildings or something.

And in seabright, The Tradewinds was a great beach club back in the day.

  3. world does not belong on your list. pretty sure that opened post 2000. clubs you mentioned were pre 1997

Thats fine, your have a point

Consider World taken off the list.

How about Webster Hall in it's place, that place has been around since the early 90's right or even 80's

  4. damn so no one went to limelight on here? wtf? I also want to know if anyone remembers the names of the hot clubs in Manhattan before factory .....i think it was Arena? Club USA? help me out someone. I personally hated Jersey clubs so I hung in NYC

Here are a few that I know of, back in the day.

    1018- now called Roxy

Emerald City- from what I recall, only went once, very nice club.

Palladium- which I think now are dorms or something.

China Club has been around for years, just has moved around the city a few times.

The World nightclub- was part of the WWF building in times square, Went once, I think when Denny Tsettos was doing a guest spot, but that has now closed up shop and Hard rock is now in that spot.

That is all I recall of my clubing years in NY, but I was not much of a NY person, stayed in NJ mostly.

  5. Flying in Saturday nite April 29th, already know that I am going to Empire for after hours, so I am set with that, looking forward to it.

I am planning on doing Studio 54 before though, anyone have any comps or VIP package, so I don't have to wait in the general admission line please?

As for Sunday, I know that is the REHAB grand opening, but not interested. Is the BEACH a cool sports bar for watching sports? it will be game 5 between the Rangers and Devils, so that is a must watch.

    Thanks!

  6. im going to bar-a happy hour in a few...soo as my 4:20 session on 4-21 is over

I know Bar-A puts out a nice spread also, don't they have a carving station??? Djais is pretty good also on fridays in the summer.

I never began my 4:20 session, have to start it up on 4:22

    Have fun!

  7. I was on a list last weekend, got there right around 4 and only had to wait behind two small groups of pushy people trying to talk their way in.

As for the public line, it looked like they were managing it well and getting people in the joint fast enough.

I've seen longer lines there before, for really big names, so the question is really what night you're going... but so long as you're on a list, I wouldn't worry about having to wait too long.

Cool, going next Saturday the 29th. But, trying to decide if I should hit up Studio 54 or Jet first. If Jet gets really crowded, not so sure I want to put up with that, Studio 54 is cool for me. Plus not to far of a walk over to Empire.
