SO are you saying that not all clubs have 1200's? at least 1? If so I wouldnt consider that a club nor the DJ or what they would call a DJ.

And I know of some DJ's that bring there own stuff, not all clubs have cd decks, most/all with have 1200's though.

Not true, sometimes its persoanl prefrence, I know some DJ's will bring there own stuff no matter what. Whats best is to learn the basics 1st becuase every player with have a start, cue, pause, most scratch (some do it as an effect some do it for real). IMO learn how to cue up tracks and what not once that becomes 2nd nature you could use any player to do so. But when playing with other decks some take a mili sec longer to start

i had the Sennheiser but now have Pioneer and like them more becuase there is more bass so for me when i beat match i can go off the drum beat better. And highs aint bad either. The Sen's had no bass imo and covered more highs and mids, where pioneer was mid and lows. Its really what you feel comfortable using, everyone is diffrent

I use single..hence Pioneer CDJ-800, Pioneer does offer dual player which is nice and offers the scratch effect.

I will also agree with you on that, Besides the music the place isnt very shady like other places in NJ, not to mention the staff as I mentioned before are really nice. I have been to clubs were it has been packed and the bouncers have to get all tough and crap to show whos boss. I have yet to see any of them there do anything like that besides keeping the walk way areas moving which is respectable. The bar tenders couldnt get any nicer and they are fast to get you what you want. Also the music is awsome, I am in no way a promoter for this place either but its deff a top 10 on my list. Everyone I bring there loves it and would go back. And yes saterday is very laid back and relaxing, more for the older crowd (hence the 21+) but with the 70's 80's and 90's music being played, especially freestyle it doesnt get any better. If you have nothing to do and want to do something on a friday or saterday night I would deff suggest you go there. also Glo is not a bad spot either!! Free cover correct?

to each his own but there not special effects its just the way it controls the sound from one channel to another. I could actually change channels with out moving the fader, (Fader in middle). I personally dont really use them nor have i seen someone use them.

A Scratch mixer has more then a complex layout its more of how well the x-over unit comes from 1 ch to another. Of course the more u spend the more options you have like my 707. For a really good explanation go to the Pioneer DJ forums.

yea a mixer is used to go from one channel to another, simply put. I have a pioneer 707 at home.

yea...but some people who do scratching and beat matching dont ask for much from a mixer...althought what is normal mixing? I am assuming he means beat match?
