I was very impressed with the vibe and NG are some chill guys - very open and true to the music. I really enjoyed the transition into a few different genres of house that Mikell put on later in the evening. Hanging out till 4/4:30ish and being to work at 9 is making this day drag a little - but well worth the sacrifice. Met some great people and look forward to meeting more.
BTW - I have come to realize that it ALWAYS rains on Thursday nights - so I guess we shall just have to live with it

I look forward to this event - a wedding at the raleigh and then this next door. I grand 'ol time for sure. It's refreshing to see more and more people taking chances on varying musical talent here in miami. kudos to the team and let's hope they stick to their guns and ride the ups and downs out long enough to make it happen.

A sobe resident, my recommendations would lean towards the smaller places. The Catalina has just renovated the place and it is sure to have some great events this year - although I am sure they will be looking to get a lil bit of that cash back. I would also recommend the Nasau or Beachcomber - both are reasonably priced an in the center of everything. Depending on how many people are coming with you - you may want to look into renting a condo/apartment or even a house - try craigslist for people looking to sublet their place that week. I just got my friends from Boston a place for 1g for 8days - between 4 people - 250 a pop, it becomes really economical plus you tend to have better amenities than the smaller hotels. Although nice to be in the heart of it all - the more you can stray from central collins/washington the cheaper you will get a place.
Book early... some people book a year in advance - which I know is tough due to varying dates... but sometimes it helps... Last but not least - make friends with the locals... Always pays to have an inside track.

Just wanted to throw out a special thnx to my boy Swells for bringing me up, as well as Morgan, Dres, Bartlett and the rest of the wonderbar crew for opening their home to me. For all the beantown crew that came to show their support for a great party, muchos gracias! It was most definitely a great trip with much debauchery and mayhem (fyi - the people of the white horse tavern take crossing their chain VERY seriously!). I look forward hopefully getting the chance to come back to kick it with u all and hope to see many of you down in the MIA in March. Good times with good people - now it's time to detox.
