About DJ Marlee: She’s a wild card! You never know whether she will send you into a frantic frenzy or a fabulous fury with her collection of hard driving beats, but you can always be sure that Marlee will deliver a terrific time. Marlee combines her background in piano, saxophone, and guitar, with her experience in dance and spiritual healing, to create DJ sets that form and affect your human life force. Sometime in 2002, after amassing a record collection of everything from rock and breaks to hard funky house and techno, Marlee caught the ears and eyes of hundreds of music lovers and several Victoria, BC promoters. This led to a residency with Fat Kat Productions, and her first weekly residency at Lucky Bar (Flow, with DJ Mama Miche). Soon after, came a residency with Neotribe Records (now based in Taiwan). Whether playing raves, club nights or radio shows Marlee has wowed and amazed crowds all over BC and rocked the house in Toronto. She’s appeared numerous times on MTV Canada’s Select, and also enjoys volunteering her talents for charity events and independent art shows. After a brief stint promoting club nights, allowing her the chance to play alongside Toronto’s DJ/Producer Jelo, Marlee made a quick move to London UK in search of the answer. She soon came to realise, however, that she was a BC girl at heart so she’s brought her undeniable burning desire to entertain back home, where she’ll strive to keep the beats alive in her own unique way. But wait, you must see to understand. So watch out for future productions and events. And keep your ear to the streets to learn where Marlee will unleash the music next.
