He quickly found his way into various clubs such as the legendary Aqualounge which opened in 1989, a pivotal moment in the Dallas house scene. Joby's original attraction to the house scene was the open minded, and nurturing nature of it's followers. He found the people inside did not care for the questions of race, income, or what he did for a living. All that mattered was that you came, and came for the music. 10 years after Aqualounge, Jabwai went from a loyal club patron to an enthusiastic producer.
