Guys I'm sorry to bring this thread back, but I just talked to my friend in Boston, and he said there are no dance clubs in Faneuil Hall. It's like a hangout place. We want to go to a club where we can dance on Thursday night...

Well, I stopped by again on Saturday, and it was pretty good and packed. Maybe Sat. is a better night to go.

But what about Roxy?! Doesn't it have a college crowd?

Hi everyone, I will be visiting a friend in Boston and we're interested in college night / hip-hop clubs. Is Roxy a good option for this (18+), and what's the best night to go? If not Thurs., which club would be good to visit on a Thursday night? We're also considering Avalon and some lounges for Fri/Sat. Thanks

I was there last night. Pretty disappointing. When there was old management, at least it was packed and everybody was dancing. Now the club is half-empty... BTW, same thing has happened to Platinum... used to be packed, and now with some new features they're doing, the party never takes off....

What are some big nightclubs in AC? And what are they like?

You know when I was in Germany, they had actual bordellos (that's right, brothels, not just strip clubs) right NEXT to and indeed inside of residential buildings. I personally witnessed how schoolchildren were walking past these bordellos and then entered the next door where the apartments were. Nobody had any problems, it was all perfectly normal. What a difference culture makes.

Don't know if you're familiar with this bar/club, but I checked it out this past Friday. I was expecting a nightclub where people could dance... what I saw instead was a bar, with people packed like sardines and standing around. Nobody was dancing. The bouncers at the door had a BIG attitude problem. I stood in line for a few minutes while they let in people who were to the left or right of me, and avoided eye contact with me. Finally when it was obvious they couldn't ignore me anymore, they condescendingly checked my ID...

What makes a great party In terms of the music, crowd, policies, ambience, etc.?
