  1. What do you think of it? I personally love it, even though it has got to be the hardest thing to dance to. In my short time in London I went to a mega-club called Fabric one night, and the drum&bass section of it was definately the most insane/intense thing ever. I also know for a fact that they love it in London. It's not at all big in NY, how come?
  2. Why do you keep calling everyone zero's? I'm pretty certain that you will die at some stage and be completely forgotten about, if not straight away then in a few generations, however i'm sure it would be sooner rather than later. Who gives a fuck, you are one individual, money/fame or not, you're a zero as well. As for computerjockey stop being a cunt about how awesome being gay is. Gay clubs are good fun, straight as I am, even though the majority of them only play commertial house (which is funny considering that you think you are so "underground"), which can be fun also. However pleasurable fucking blokes is, it's all about preference so stop preaching about it. What do you want, for every bloke on CP to be a poof? Gay people flaunt it too much and are too sleezy, thats my only complaint.
  3. Why do you care so much if I have friends or not? Either way, why would I want friends in this country in the first place? New Yorkers are cunts. Most of you anyway, but I think that I made actual friends with more people in my week in London than I did in my month and a half in New York. The number of people I have met in new york and numbers that I have got, I havn't called a single one. I find it funny how much shit the American's always get whenever I stay at a youth hostel anywhere in the world, not because you are American's, but because American's are dumbasses. It's a generalisation, there are good people here, but you don't have any culture or personality and you are so up tight and really have no clue. You get told to go fuck yourself anywhere in the real world. I have no trouble meeting people, I just can't stand alot of the people here. And back to my original point, I said that I prefer to go out alone anyway, or else with one or two of the boys max. That way, I don't have to worry about ditching some large group for a root or if I feel like going somewhere else. I could go on for ages, and I know that you are just fucking with me to feel smart and waste my time, but i'm back in NY so I have nothing better to do.
  4. So everybody in a club has no friends? Otherwise I think I might stand out a little.
  5. I'm not challenging you to a fight mate, i'm saying that you should try giving people shit in person. You're an idiot. Excuse me for lack of emoticons.
  6. Yeah I have no friends, thats why I have like 19, 000 posts on clubplanet.com all trying to make blokes 8 years my junior feel small. Say it to my face.
  7. I am in London at the moment and admitedly ... New York is fucking SHIT in comparison. You know why? To me it's mostly the people. Mate if you go out expecting the good times to come to you depending on where you go you are a dumbass. The music scene is really great in NY, always changing. The club and the music is there, in my opinion, just to enhance the experience, but it seems like people always need a "place to go" in New York. If all you care about is having a good time with your friends then why don't you stay home and drink there? It seems like you need a bunch of people around you who actually like to party, or the people who are there for a reason such as the music, to create an atmosphere for you. I generally go out alone or with not too many people, because at the club I enjoy much more doing my own thing and meeting new people. Circles (aka people going out with large groups of friends) are ball breakers, which is about all you see in New York. I despise those people. If I just want to chill with my mates it's the pub or a lounge where the music and the party isn't the central focus, you and your friends are. It's not the venue that sucks, it's you! Thats my vent for now. I'm so disappointed to be leaving London today.
  8. It's just a fucking message board they are all the same. Just chill out, New Yorkers are all so up tight. What does stfu mean?
  9. and apparently drum and bass night on sundy ... ?
  10. It seems unfair to me that Crobar is closed ... when I went there on New Years hoping to get in with my ticket alone, I was in the line for about 10 minutes and saw the bouncers doing a great job, a number of people getting kicked out, one kid being arrested with a fake ID, all the right security measures ... and the bouncers were not stupid like some, and they were friendly and under control, even when one realised that I was ... "mistaken about the clubbing age here" and kindly asked me to leave. With a big place like that, it's not easy to keep some things from slipping by, and I think people should be less retarded about who they sell drugs to as well.
  11. lol, that had to be the shittest thing i have ever been to. Boris was good and the lighting was hectic, the dancefloor was packed ... but nobody was fucking dancing. It was all couples or circles of dickheads just standing = no room to move and impossible to get into it. i'm so cut i spent 30$ on that, wasn't a good croud.
  12. The only place IN THE WORLD that has such a high drinking age is in America. Besides, if you don't care so much about getting a drink and more about the music and having fun, there is always somewhere to go. It isn't hard to find a place in Manhattan when you are 18+.
  13. It's not too hard to find things ... I have only been here for a couple of weeks aswell, but ti seems like Pacha is 18+ on friday nights, also I went to Sullivan Room last (thursday) night and everything was fine I think I might have been breaking the rules though ... I've also heard about other things; pretty much if you look around you are bound to find something, it seems like the more people I talk to, the more there is than I thought happening for U21's in Manhattan.
  14. So whats the go with age? hoping that i can make it just waiting to know if i can even come in or not! lol SebLG
  15. Lol, could have told me this before i bought my NYE tickets ... SebLG
  16. But the way I see it that if you don't let people drink they'll just take drugs instead ... so i think it's pretty dumb not to let teh clubs serve alcohol?? Just my opinion.
  17. G'day all, First I wanna say a big thanks to silverbull cos I had an awesome time at Pacha on friday! The music was insane I LOVED it. Tedd Patterson was just amazing in comparison to the DJ's in Canberra. Anyway to the subject ... I'm only 18 years old and have been looking around for NYE tickets to buy for a good night out celebrating (on my own lol). My problem is that everywhere with something good on is 21+ ... I really want to go to Crobar (which looks good but I have never been there) or Pacha, but it seems like neither of these are possible. I guess the point of this thread is any advice on places to go or what to do etc ... should I bother to buy a ticket to any of these parties or will I definately not get in? I'm battling with the drinking age in this country! It's absolutely horendous. Thanks very much, SebLG
  18. Good is pretty subjective I suppose ... but for me it's more house/techno/dance music and less or no hiphop, big dance floor which is packed, a good, hyped atmosphere and not a hugely selective dress code - because you can't go hard in a suit ... and I guess dark lightling with a sort of underground feel. Don't know if any of that is helpful or whatever, but thats what is 'good' to me I guess. Thanks, SebLG
  19. Are all the (good) nyc clubs generally in a certain part of manhattan in like chelsea or time square or something? (Thats what it seeems like to me looking at addresses, but I don't really know my way around yet) Or are they all spread out? And i'm just wondering what it's like in comparison to Austrlia ... all ID's and cover charges at the door etc .. ? SebLG
  20. My name's Seb and i'm from Australia now living in NY ... i'm keen to get out but i'm only 18 (drinking and clubbing ets age is 18 in oz ... and everywhere), but i was told that its not hard to hit up the clubs and have a good time in NYC even when you are 18, so hopefully I was told right! I'm into all kinds of techno dance shit that i can go nuts to ... not too sure where to go for it in NY but i'm sure i'll work it out.
