NUDE AID ART-MAKING AND TAKEAWAY EVENT

BENEFITS CENTER FOR SEX & CULTURE

    Sunday, December 9, 5-9 pm

Held this year at the Design District's beautiful club Mighty!

Here's how the Nude Aid art-making and giveaway event works: Admission to Nude Aid is $20-40 (sliding scale). This entitles each guest to watch as artists make art, live, with live nearly-nude and fetish-clad models to inspire them. Each guest can choose a piece of art to take home, and may purchase additional tickets (also $20-40) to trade for additional paintings, drawings, photos, sculptures, collages, or body prints. Guests can also cover holiday shopping needs by purchasing more art and desirables from Nude Aid's silent auction. Mighty's cash bar will be open, "whores d'oeuvres"

served, DJs will spin, and occasional stage performances will liven the event. Nude Aid will take place on Sunday, December 9th. Doors open at 5 and close at

    8; event ends at 9.

Our celebrity hosts: Nina Hartley and Sharon Mitchell!

Nude Aid's 2008 lineup will include Stephen Parr's Oddball Films and participation by Femina Potens Gallery.

Chester, Michael Rosen, Ruby Pearl, Charles Gatewood, David Steinberg, Craig Pop Artist, Dorian Katz, Gary Irwin, Carol Queen/Robert Lawrence, Ella Guru and Sexton Ming, Brian Kirk, and others. Last Gasp Books and Bombshell Betty are donating books and a special burlesque package, and we have a sex coaching session with Howard Bloom, music

from the wonderful Wet Spots, and a gift package from Good Vibrations on the auction table as well.

Participating artists include Dave Cherry, Ruby Pearl, Charles Gatewood, Sara Waugh, Matt Sachs, Suzanne Forbes, Carlo Grunfeld, Philip Dvorak, Dorian Katz, Sadie Lune, Leila Swan, and more! Some of the models who have signed on include Holliday Hi-Beams, Jallen Rix, Destin Gerek, Sadistic Skye, Katy Bell, Marlo Gayle, Lori Selke, and Raina Bird.

Performers include Nina Hartley, Lady Monster, Tom Orr, and Jukie Sunshine.

More about Nude Aid's 2008 lineup will be announced shortly; for an updated listing of artists, donors, performers and other participants please check back throughout the week.

Nude Aid is again being produced by erotic writer and burlesque performer Lady Monster, who has just returned from a tour with Leonard Nimoy; and Dr. Carol Queen. Want to make or donate

art, model, volunteer to help run the event, or otherwise become involved with Nude Aid? Get in touch by emailingcarol@sexandculture.org or calling 415-255-1155.

    Blasthaus Presents

    STANTON WARRIORS

Get ready for the kings of breakbeat who will come through SF during their 2007 US

tour and to play Mighty for the very first time! The Stanton Warriors (Skint Music,

Fabric, XL, V2) are on fire. Most recently known for their ridiculously successful

bodypopping mash-up of Spank Rock's BUMP with Kerri Chandler's old school electro

"Planet Sonic". Listen here and you'll see why they still hold the throne of breakbeat,

their remixing and refixing skills define the meaning of Jack. For FABRIC 30 the Warriors

set a new mark for nasty electro-breaks resulting in one of the most highly regarded and

popular Fabric CDs thus far. This comes as no surprise from the Warriors since their

multi-award-winning debut "The Stanton Session" knocked everyone's socks off 6 years ago

and still remains the biggest selling breakbeat mix of all time. Realizing from the Fabric

release how popular their remixes were, the duo will play SF to support their new release

on Fatboy Slim's label called simply "Remixes" featuring a sort of "greatest hits" and many

of their finest remixes. Support from Syd Gris (Opel, Opulent Temple) and Murphstr. It's

gonna be packed to the gills, so advance tix strongly suggested.

    Blasthaus, Spundae & Mighty Present

    CARL COX

A musical ambassador since he was in short

trousers, a professional DJ since his early

teens, a veteran of acid house and a

champion of techno, Carl Cox emits a love

of his work that is dangerously infectious.

Check him when he's behind the turntables

and you can't mistake his ecstatic visage,

dripping with sweat as his head bobs up and

down to the beat, his hands pumping the air

    whenever they're not manipulating the

decks, his body swaying back and forth,

frequently taking to the mike to share word

on the latest underground tune he's about

to break. You name it, Carl's been there

and done it, but he's never lost sight of

the point of it: playing music, breaking

    tunes, spreading love, celebrating life.

    Support from Nikola (blasthaus, Kontrol)

    Blasthaus Presents

    LOCO DICE and MARTIN BUTTRICH

Blasthaus presents the next further session and it's true, we have finally booked two of our favorite German techno maestros! If anyone knows how to take it further it's these guys. There are two Dices to be had here. There's the one to be witnessed on a sunny dance floor like Ibiza's DC10 where he has been star and resident for three years, holding court with his sexy, minimal, funk, or there's the other Dice in a dark underground cavern throwing deep, solid and heavy beats out to the hungry, sweating dance floor. On top of all that, listening to the music he produces with long time cohort Martin Buttrich is an experience that lifts you into the future. Together they produce a style that always puts them ahead of the game and you can actually feel the musical shift that goes on around them as the competition tries to work out their next move. It's pioneering, electronic music that is warm and entirely addictive but also completely new and every time it appears in the mix its elevated status just becomes more apparent. Support TBA. Highly suggest clicking the listen button below, you won't be disappointed and probably will listen to every track like everyone else ends up doing!
