bsb2002
Mel Cheren wrote a book - don't know the title - about the Paradise Garage and all that jive that I'm sure would be of use.
bsb2002
deephousepage.com also has some good info, though it focuses a lot on Chicago. Great mixes library too.

willandslater
Make sure you include:- Limelight- NASA- Palladium- Tunnel- The Ritz (used to be Studio 54)- Club USAI remember going to those places years ago in the early 90's.I would suggest getting in contact with the people who worked at the venues. The owners would be the best contacts for you, but you'll probably will have trouble getting in contact with them. You may have an easier time getting in touch with the managers, the DJs, the lighting and sound designers, et cetera...Contact Scotto at http://www.drop.com or his e-mail scotto@drop.com He has been a lighting designer for years.Good Luck. Are you going to publish your project on the internet ?
