joeg
You ever notice how the beginning of everything is more fun/exciting/etc... its not necessarily "Better", but its a feeling you kind of chase after...This applies to learning new thingsmeeting new ppltrying new thingsjobsdrugswhateveretc...I guess this is where the phrase "the good old days" comes from...but once everything normalizes in your head... it kind of lacks some of the luster that once made it great and you chase after the feeling you originally had to no avail? though it has a new appeal in that its familiar & now normal to you...thoughts/opinions/questions/comments...? georgym
I think capitalism breeds boredom. Yes it propogates the idea of creativity and ingenuity, but that only lasts so long. There's so much red tape to cross, that the originality and fun of something gets lost in the mixTake all the latest popular music, or books, etc. Everyone copies everyone else, to the point of dulling out the senses. How many Britney spearsN*Sync'sAshanti''scan we have till we burst our brain cells over candy filled, sex infused media infiltrating our own intrinsic existence Ahhhh, had to get that out
hotcheme
i think you are right. i can never stay really excited about the types of things you listed for more than a few months.i have to disagree with you in one respect - there are some things that retain that initial "luster" and those things are truly special in your life.
