mugwump Posted May 27 Author Report Share Posted May 27 UPDATE: OK I'm back...(Sorry it took me so long)I went outside and saw a crowd pointing down Hudson stand Leroy..There where Fire Trucks everywhere andsmoke coming from manholes...Someone told me it was a CONED thingthen Choppers fly over headand a bomb squad car pulls up andtold everyone to disperse...Then all of the suddenAn NYPD man breaks a window in a building and emerges out ontoa fire escape from the Fifth floor..I notice that some OTHERwindows are missing on the buildingand are littered on the sidewalk.After much gawking I go and grab a slice on the corner..The Pizza man tells me thatthe Explosion lifted him off his feet andshook the entire sink...Blew windows off a building near byand caused a mass panic on the streetwith cars..THIS ALL ON A DAYTHAT HAS MANY NEW YORKERSPARANOID WITH TERRORISTSALERTS...Con-ed or not I am still a bit shaky.I was listening to the radio aboutanother Human bomb explodingin Isreal when the building shook..(I work on Morton and Greenwhichso the tremor must have shaken a few blocks)If it was a CON-ED explossionIt's the biggest bang I've ever fealt..If it wasn't then someone's coveringsomething up that occured underground.(shrugz)I guess I'm just gonna have to get usedto jumping everytime some loud noisegoes BOOM!sad Signs of the times..*And why aren't I reading ANYTHINGabout this on NY1.com orhearing anything on the radio..??(????)hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
