leftymo Posted August 12 Report Share Posted August 12 Hello, I just came into New York and need some help finding the sites that list events in NY, specifically trance/house events...I know this week alone Sasha, Danny T, and Sander are here...Is there a site that lists this kind of information, as well as the top venus, large, good crowd, and not attracting children?I'd be much appreciated for any help, thanks.(similar to groovetickets out in LA).I sure hope the trance scene here is on par w/ Miami & LA... it should be in the big apple...PS What the heck is this lounge scene? just standing around? uh, wow, fun! jenniferf3 Posted August 12 Report Share Posted August 12 naughtybooth.com happens to be an excellent sight!! since you are new to ny here's a tip....small venues have excellent music that most people wouldn't think to check out because the venues are small. For good, somewhat underground house music parties check out Plant, Leopard Lounge, Noble (every other Friday-EXCELLENT, 112 crew), LeSook (wrong spelling) on Sundays from 1 or 3 till 8pm, that's a nice lil' outdoor/indoor party! well, that's all for now...hit em up, so much in NY! I was beginning to think everyone went to lounges, the only ones that hit the decent clubs w/ great music were the kids (those w/ fake ID's). hotcheme Posted August 12 Report Share Posted August 12 i highly recommend you check out the lounge scene/ smaller venues. the best vibes in the city are there.FYI, Roxy and Exit are cheese clubs. I wouldn't go there unless I have a very good reason. For example, Scott Bond (gatecrasher) the 31st, PVD Nov 1st... I wouldn't consider Johnny Vicious a good reason to go there, although some ppl on this board might disagree.You definitely want to check out arc. DT in NOT there this Friday, although he is there every other Friday, but I would recommend you go on a Saturday because the crowd and vibe is much better. The last saturday of every month is Danny Howells, and the second to last Saturday oif every month is Victor Calderone. This weekend is Sander.If you keep checking this board you will hear about various weekly parties and stuff. I think Naughtybooth has a calendar.
