I know this could or should be in the NYE thread, but I need insider knowledge. Am learning my lesson and not paying 200 for a club on NYE. I want to pick a lounge with minimal or no cover but good music. Something like Shadow Lounge in Caesars, but closer to Palazzo. I was leaning towards Sugarcane. They have industry night on wed's, but probably not for that night! Any other recommendations in the Venetian/TI/Mirage/Palazzo area? 1. Inexpensive on NYE (20-30 cover is fine) 2. Good music 3. More of a chill scene rather than big club. Thanks!!! We'll be at least 20+ people in the party, so that's why it matters.

Last year for Sharam's Rehab party, ClubSpace sold tix for 4 pm entrance... Can someone post information on the ability to get into the MGM party? Advance sales. Is it as ridiculous as the Rehab party? I might be staying at the condo's at MGM, will that make it easier? Thanks.

I guess you really haven't heard sander unless you are on the terrace at WMC at 10 am... Can't wait til Guetta gets here... Guess i'm done til november.

WOW. Nothing like it anywhere in the world? I haven't been to Ibiza. But I'm surely expecting Space Terrace sessions during WMC feel. That is simply amazing at 1 pm, and nobody has left from since the previous night.... Can't wait, after that buildup...

Ah i c... Well, I found a reduced Drai's list, so its now in my price range for value... as for WMC. I've never had problems throwing down money for the conference, b/c you get a lot more bang for your buck. It comes down to that moreso than anything else. I'm not paying 100,000 for a pinto no matter where it is. Not saying Drai's or Dubfire are a pinto, but you get the point. On another message board someone is shocked that its 75 for rehab. That i can understand, its 9 hours, massive pool party with multiple headliners... As for greasing the bouncers, that's not part of the club cost, that's just a way for you to get in sooner.

So 3400 is a separate club or room in Jet? I know Tiesto is spinning at Jet on Monday, so I guess afterward he's going to 3400? Can someone fill me in with all this mumbojumbo? I heard, the tiesto ticket for monday gets you in to both places...

Sharam is the dirty persian. Dubfire is the clean one. Sharam plays the mainstream vocal stuff, Dubfire drops the dark and dirty underground stuff. As for the crowd... snotty types? well, you were in the hamptons, aren't they all snotty types there? Should be a decent well diverse crowd at rehab. With an emphasis on muscle and hot bodies, but it should still be good. I'm hoping for a terrace yoshitoshi type feel. Who knows....

It's all good greenie... According to the reports, trance DJ Paul Oakenfold is at the Tao Beach event... Usually I'd be down for that, but right now, I'm pretty much a deep dish whore... Maybe I can do both, or that cedric/faarsheed thing looks tempting. Oaky can't mix for crap, but he does drop some of the most amazing tracks. Either way, its like a mini mini WMC...

struck a nerve there did i? lol. intimate? I'm flying from new york, and I guarentee you there isn't a club in the country that tops cielo for electronic & intimate. There's a reason why it keeps winning best club at the dance awards in WMC. And no Roger Sanchez, or Desyn, even Sasha do not charge more for the intimate setting environment. And the sound there is probably better than anywhere I've ever heard. Almost everything you wrote about expenses was dead wrong. Major festivals cheaper than single headliners? Lol. Most are 20-40 for a single headliner, festivals are always 50-75... check ultra's prices with single club nights. intimate more expensive than large rooms? depends who's spinning, and where you are. From my experience they are about the same. (in new york, miami, los angeles, las vegas, boston & DC). greenie, just go to sullivan room or cielo once. they'll never charge 75, and you'll get intimate feel with a superior sound system. Of course those are the venues that also throw BT, Sasha, and Ferry Corsten for free.

That might work for some. For others it definitely would not. I'm coming to vegas primarily for this party... sharam won't be in ny anytime soon... tiesto there the next night, can make it a trifecta. (friend's 30th bday)... Who's spinning at Tao Beach?

Yes, dubfire has been announced. and 75.00 is enough for me not to attend this event. And no, its not remotely reasonable. With a shitty sound system, and it being after hours on Labor Day Weekend no less. Tiesto is 75.00 prime hours and he's by far the superstar headliner. Just for comparison. Giant Maximus with three stages and Tiesto already confirmed with other major headliners for New Years Eve is 75.00. It's not WMC, It's not New Years, there's no megalineup, and the system sucks for 75? lol. Is a BJ included for every admission? lol.

Rum Jungle? That hasn't been good for 4-5 years.

That's as much as Tiesto, & Dubfire never draws that kind of crowd.

Well, I'm a 3 year vegas new years vet (not much), but most reg's will tell you to stay away from the clubs on new years. In fact, since it falls on a monday, its best to stick to the clubs earlier on the weekend. Club prices are jacked up, presale tickets range from 60 (LOW END) to 200+ (pure, tao, etc...) They offer free cocktails but good luck finding them, or getting to the so called open bar. My advice is to definitely do the street thing for new years, and then somehow migrate to a lounge. We've done that for a couple years and its been MUCH better than a club.

Wow, pretty decent weekend... The "B" DJ's with Aude, Egil, Gervais, Darey... The "A" DJ's with Dubfire, Sharam, Morillo, Tiesto... I'm sure I'm missing some.

try vegas hot spots dot com. They've treated me and my party well in the past (2 bachelor parties)

more importantly what are the set times? 50 bucks for 4 hrs? And its not even that with the service charge... If Sharam doesn't go on until 4 pm, then I might consider it.
