I'm sorry, maybe those two DJ's do compare to Danny Tenaglia... If you honestly would like to make an assessment on sperte & woods vs. Danny T, please let me know. I'm not from NY... so these local DJ's, i really don't give a shit about, not right now that is... I wanna see the best... sorry if that's beneath you. The club would be better w/o me? Now you have some inferiority problems... if that makes you feel better about yourself, go ahead and criticize & bash anyone & everyone. All I did on this board, is show my frustration that Danny T isn't spinning tonight... uh, I built myself up for tonight, and now its like the plans are crumbling. As for the big apple, I've done the lounge scene and that is god awful, and nobody knows a decent venue of trance, nor are there any sites that let you know when the best are coming here. All I read is about how Exit's management stinks, Twilo is closed or open, Clubs are all teenie boppers and that when the big boys come out here they let like 8000 people in those tiny venues and nowhere to dance. Sorry, but where I'm from things are a lot different! I'm just hoping its somewhat close... So go pick on someone else, don't waste your time and mine again...got it? thank you.

No knock on Woods & Sperte... But there's a site that ranks the best DJ's... It has about 10,000 DJ's ranked... by top to worst... by voters in a regulated fasion... Danny T ranks 14 in the world. Sander ranks 38 in the world. Sperte & Woods aren't even in the top 10,000! (oh, for the record, the top 3 are Tiesto, PVD, and Oaky in that order). (so that's what I mean, when I say never heard of them, apparently, neither has other trance fans...)

WHAT? He's not there? I've never heard of the other two... I may have to change plans then, I'd prefer to see the best, since most of my other friends don't like this kind of music, I'm stuck... Dammit! What's the point of being a resident DJ for a month @ Vinyl, if you're not going to do it. Even his freakin website says he's here tonight.... This stinks... (I guess I'm left w/ Sander tomorrow, if that gets f'd up, not a very good 1st impression of the big apple...)

I just wanted to know where I could BUY mp3's of rare tracks. Because it seems like the common joe won't have some of the featured tracks of essential mixes played by the famous DJ's. And since I'm not a DJ, I'd much rather prefer an mp3 than the vinyl. I'd appreciate any help on this matter. Songs like Z2 - i want you, or Stage One - Space Manoeuvres, or Anne Savage - Real Freaks, are very very tough to find on the gnutella software... (not exactly Janet Jackson) Thanks

danwilson: Thanks, actually it was Edgar V that got me into this stuff, when I went to space, Miami... just awesome... So for obvious reasons Space is the best club in the US (from where I've been). Thanks again everybody, your info helped. I was beginning to think everyone went to lounges, the only ones that hit the decent clubs w/ great music were the kids (those w/ fake ID's).

Just curious, is Roxy exclusively a gay club? I'm interested in going, but I'm looking for girls... It seems like the big DJ's are coming, but since I'm new to NY, I don't know, if its exclusive... or not. Thanks

Hello, I just came into New York and need some help finding the sites that list events in NY, specifically trance/house events... I know this week alone Sasha, Danny T, and Sander are here... Is there a site that lists this kind of information, as well as the top venus, large, good crowd, and not attracting children? I'd be much appreciated for any help, thanks. (similar to groovetickets out in LA). I sure hope the trance scene here is on par w/ Miami & LA... it should be in the big apple... PS What the heck is this lounge scene? just standing around? uh, wow, fun!

I wanted to know if they have any places in LA that serve sushi off of women... I saw an episode on elimidate but it was in SF... what about LA... I don't think its hygenically safe, but I'd love to mess around w/ them, if they're supposed to remain still and not say anything... ha ha ha... Just an interesting concept, that I'm sure exists in LA somewhere, just can't seem to find it. I believe the girls are semi-nude... actually they are covered in the obvious areas but do show flesh...hmmm, curious. Anyone know? or better yet where to look for such a place?

I know of only a couple... The Palace (obvious one) located just off of Hollywood Blvd... And a new one I believe called 17, located on the corner of Hollywood & Highland in that shopping mall, a floor below the real club in that center (The Highlands). Tight? Don't know... never been to an 18+ club.
