phatman Posted September 17 Report Share Posted September 17 ...the numbers dont lie..the guy was a great player...but i just could never get myself to like that big ole saskwatch...it was sad to see him even try to prolong his career...i just wish some athletes would hang it up when their time has passed...ewing should have retired at least two years ago...then again, i thought pete sampras should have left tennis and look what he did this year...who knows... lolahotass Posted September 18 Report Share Posted September 18 Yeah I've never been a Ewing fan, but I agree, from what I seen of him the past 2-3 years, he should've hung those sneakers up a little sooner....But good point with the Sampras.... mrmatas2277 Posted September 18 Report Share Posted September 18 he had his best years with the Knicks....one of the best centers to ever play the game....i hated the man with a passion, being a Heat fan, but he gave us some great games when he was in his prime...tell u some people that are extremely happy to see him go, the "towel boys" that clean up the court....Ewing would sweat out 10 gallons per minute when he would shoot free throws....
