One of the guys in the group was friends with THE GUY who runs the Palms hotel (they were roommates in college). We were VIP’s the entire stay at the Palms. That is the home of RAIN and the Ghost Bar. The music at Rain was awful. Every 15 minutes the DJ would get on the mic and say “anyone from Cali say Yeahhh” and bullshit like that. It was defiantly one of the most beautiful clubs I’ve ever been in, fire from the ceilings, 4 stories tall, tons a people, skybox VIP, SMALL dance floor. If I was from Indianapolis I’d have been impressed. Being an X-New Yorker and now 10 years in Miami, I’m spoiled w/ good music and good clubs. If we did not have the VIP badges it would have been worse. The lines for these places were nutz. Like Studio 54 in its prime. Also, security takes no shit, so if your into an “enhanced” evening planned ("we have the technology"), hide it, do it in your room, but what ever you do, don't get arrested in Vegas on a Friday or Saturday, you can’t be bailed out until Monday (usually in the afternoon). Security is trained to look for that stuff and they have cameras everywhere. It’s a wild place, but b-careful! Also, skip the After, After hours party at Glow (starts at 5A).
