Rad_Z
can be considered workout music???I was curious, since i saw the "workout" thread, and ppl talking about their own workout music.Like is it just motovating & fast electronic (house, trance, techno..) tracks? OR more like dance, 80's, etc.. (ex. "Pump, pump the jam, pump it up, while your feet are jumping" ) stuff?? Rad_
Mystify
I like to listen to club music because it's got a fast and upbeat tempo... but hey if pump up the jam happens to be on the radio, i might just give it a listen!no but seriously -- i also listen to my britney cd (no poking fun please... ) and ktu occasionally -- when i need a break from my ever predictable club cd's...... os9
While lifting any kind of music I like is fine, but when doing cardio (running especially) I prefer rap. Dance music beats just aren't hard enough to get you pumped up. Hip Hop and rap, that shit'll get you through that last boring, hellish 10 minutes of running. ou812
I definately can't listen to dance/house/techno/progressive music all day, it'll make me sick................I usually like krock type of stuff for my workouts.
os9
In response to the roll of the eyes...The problem I have with dance music is that every beat is usually equally emphasized whether by 4 on the floor bass or whatever. It's just not a good rhythm to run to IMO. Maybe to dance to, especially when you're drunk, but I prefer a nasty snare hit on the 2nd and 4th beat, it just goes better with running. Rad_Z
Thanx for the responses.I was actually thinking that for me, dance & trance wouldnt really get me motivated...its too repetitive and more of a "thought/mind" experience. I guess hard banging house and any other motivational songs from alternative genres (rap, 80's, rock, metal) would do.OS9: I hope u dont mean any R&B songs when you say hip-hop/rap music! That would just put anyone to sleep.Rad_
