Surprisingly, the place is RJ's and they DO have a huge bar and two level dance floor. They recently redecorated and it looks great. Its a quiet, upscale barbeque joint by day - dance club by night. Yes. It's true. And they're giving Joya a run for the money in the bargain, as RJ's is located directly next door.

Owner Michael Najjar would lock up his establishment at the early hour of 10pm every night just to walk by the throng of tired nightlifers clamoring to get into the fondue place with the funny four-letter name (Joya is a fondue restaurant in case you didn't know) and he thought to himself ; "What am I doing? Look at what this cheese joint is doing afterhours. Why don't I do the same thing?"

So that's what he's done. And he's got more room to do it. Whereas Joya has limited to no dancefloor capacity, RJ's has a large 12 foot dancefloor, once all the dining room chairs and tables are removed and put into storage. Sets of booths adorn the perimeter of the floor so as to let one choose to dance like crazy or to sit and have a conversation, enjoy a drink while still hearing the music.

As for drinks, the bar at the front of RJ's offers a second environment to enjoy the evening. If you're not in the dancing mood, but still want to hear the DJ's, you can sit here and still hear yourself think.

The upper balcony overlooks the floor and the DJ's play up there in a VIP environment that is open to all.

Its a comfortable setting and a great way to take in a Friday Night. Come by and say hello.

Wow. THAT'S incredible. Hope it does well.

Tell Mr. Najjar that if he lets in guestlist people who are dressed fashionably, unlike Joya that generally won't let you in wearing jeans even if the jeans cost over $100 are were sold one block over on Rodeo Drive lollll, then RJ will do veryyyy well.

Definitely going to tell our subscribers about this event & venue.

Best regards

are you being sarcastic about the size of the dancefloor, or did you mean to write some other dimensions?

thanks for all the info, though, and that's a kickass logo on the flyer; it kinda looks to me like someone with an open mind  .

The open mind reference that you stated Weyes, does have a strong bearing to our overall intentions of this event. We have fused a number of elements together forming what we would like to think of as a platform for the Los Angeles based DJs to not only be the openers, but to be the headliners.

I want to thank both for the kind words and warm wishes on both our logo and the success of our monthly event. I wish you both the same and hope that you would make it out to one of our events in the near the future.
