phillyb Posted November 5 Report Share Posted November 5 i'm not a LD fan by any means, but he is a millionaire being a marketing genius....NYC underground 1 was a big club scene boost when it came out...now he is just capitalizing on the reputation of having some of the best tracks all on one cd, even though most are now considered commercial cheese, they were played in the big clubs by big djs one time or another, even if it was 6 months ago...i mean i have every one of the tracks on this cd on many other cds (many are from last spring), just not all together....guaranteed he paid some big money for the rights to these tracks and it will pay off when this cd hits platinum like his others have....a big amount of those sales will be from people who don't normally go a club like SF, but to people who have been out to a lounge or bar that plays dance music in between band sets and who only go out to commercial type club once in a while....LD was the first dj to take a chance and make a dance compilation of now commericialized tracks and it is paying dividends... PROPS TO LOUIE, HE WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TO DO IT, AND WHILE YOU MAY HAVE HEARD THE TRACKS LONG AGO, THE REST OF THE COUNTRY HASN'T. IF IT WAS EASY EVERYONE WOULD DO IT. I have all of his cd's, to whoever said that all of the tracks on his cd's we already proven hit's !!!!!!Wrong, Just look up the dates of the releases of his cd's and if these song were on radio yet. For example Castles in the sky Ian van dahl lets get soak n wet Pepper Meshey the dude picks great music. He obviously spent a ton of $$$ on radio Wktu, and my friend in south jersey says he has been hearing LD on some philly station for 3 years now. In addition, do you hear his radio spots?
