Then Sears pit a bad battery in it and it blew up, seconds after I walked out of it . My fist car I bought was a VW, and I have owned nothing but every since. Dam I miss that car. I beat the hell out of that thing. 2 trips to stockton a month, took it to wildwood several times, a few times to philly. 3 nites a week to seaside. Dam I did beat on thing. All it was missing was the reflectors. I had it for a month, couldnt stand it anymore...and gave it to my grandma. Then got a Beretta. That was a little better. Ran to 280,000 believe it or not. From the time I was in high school. 4 summers of driving back and forth to seaside on a weekly basis. 3 years of commuting down 287 to go to school. From 98,000 to 175,000 miles ............wooohoooo. All the while with 2 12in. subs and a 700 watt amp in the back, to this day I'm still amazed I'm not deaf. After about a year my dad and I restored a white 1961 corvette convertible.
