The Buzz messageboard has had some technical difficulties the past few days. Anyone who signed up since last week may have noticed some problems with their user profile. You may have had problems posting, voting or logging on. Once everything is fixed, please check your user profile and make sure that all information is correct.

We extended the voting for the New Year’s Eve DJ’s thru Wed. Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. Polls have not been affected by the board shutting down. We have been working nonstop since the weekend to fix the glitch. We apologize for not responding to emails as quickly as possible, as this messageboard has taken most of our time.

Over the past year, Baron has unleashed a continuous assault of quality hardcore drum ‘n’ bass. In a style similar to Dylan, Total Science, Digital & Spirit, Baron has successfully updated the original UK hardcore breakbeat sound, matching today’s more sophisticated drum ‘n’ bass tastes with raw, old school junglism. Baron’s tribal, percussive style has wide-appeal with many segments of the drum ‘n’ bass community. “See Me Burning,†is his track on the “Sektor 1 EP†(the release with Total Science’s “Squashâ€). He takes credit for L-Plates, volumes 4 and 9, as well as for the recent “Sour/8 Bit†release on Juju’s Phuturo label. You often hear Mr. Tab playing Baron releases back to back at — both sides of each record!

Celebrate the holidays tonight with his deep, soulful selections of the house underground. And Apple promises us her unique flavor of deliciously sublime house music for those who like it juicy during the holidays...

The last Saturday of each month, we’ll be getting SLEAZY in the BASS-ment. You might have heard about this new musical twist in the global EDM scene — ELECTROCLASH. Takes early ‘90s techno, merges it with ‘80s electro and synth-pop and adds elements of breaks, house, industrial, punk and occasionally drum ‘n’ bass. Check out Ministry of Sound’s “Tech Pop†compilation, Moonshine Music’s “Electro Nouveau†or the double CD “This is NOT the ‘80s,†for a preview of this sound. www.sleazedc.com

Buzzlife continues its FREE membership discount policy. Buzzlife messageboard members who post 10 or more times each week (thru 5 p.m. each Friday) will receive $5 off admission off Saturday nights (or special events) at Trust in Baltimore. Members most weeks will only pay $10 instead of $15.

To be eligible sign up for the Buzzlife messageboard at: www.buzzlife.com. 10 or more posts each week (that’s only 2 posts per day, Monday – Friday) automatically will place you on the Buzzlife membership guest list. If you don’t post at least 10 times by the end of each week, then you won’t receive the discount.

The membership must be renewed each week with a minimum of 10 posts to the Buzzlife messageboard. At 5 p.m. each Friday we will print out a list of all messageboard members who meet the requirement that week. We will also send you a confirmation email, so that you can be certain you’ll be on the reduced list. Post counts are not transferable from one week to another. Posts cannot be copied and repeated to fulfill the requirement. Our moderators will monitor this.

How to join? Really easy. Just create a sign-on to the Buzzlife messageboard (www.buzzlife.com) and start posting. We want this opportunity to be accessible to everyone, which is why we’re not charging for memberships. It’s based on involvement not investment.

When you arrive at Trust on Saturdays (or special events), there will be a special membership guest list with that week’s messageboard members who posted 10 times or more. This list discounts the admission price by $5. Please PRINT OUT the confirmation email sent to you. Make sure the name on the email matches your name on your I.D. If the names don’t match, the $5 discount will not be valid.

Plans are in the works for a Buzz members VIP area at Trust. Stay tuned for details....
