joeg Posted February 12 Report Share Posted February 12 there isn't always truth based in jokes... there 3 types of jokes:1) ones based in truth to see how someone reacts without suffering the reprocussions of being serious2) to amuse himself or others3) to create laughter at someones expense / discredit their argument (as a conversational / argumentitive device)(2 and 3 can be combined at times)there might be more, and i could probably write a thesis on this... but its 6am and my hands are cold, and i have to watch "Made" real fast so my mom can drop it at blockbuster on her way to work because i'm too lazy to return it myself...
