man o man are u missing out.

If u think that song was the hottest...u have no clue how many other good songs there were.

There were WAY MANY that were hotter and better than that one..but MARIA just so happen to stand out cause it was one of the most widely played one.

off the top of my head: Tiana-First True Love

try that one.

The songs that mike and the others listed as well are a great representation.

Give yer ear a listen on what u may have missed out on.

U know as much as i liked freestyle as well as many other electronic generes...

i still would never and have no intentions on going to the KTU event.

I mean why do they even have it????

Its amazing how the same washed up one hit wonders still make money from lip-synching there hit songs from when i busy playing kickball in 2nd grade.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When i think of it...

What better place to meet a bunch of hot older hispanic chics from queens who love freestyle but the ktu party lmao

I DJed this big thing at Amazura back in '98. I got to meet a lot of these artists, including Noel and Cynthia (who autographed a picture disc of "Like a Star"). Was fun, though the turnout was rather disappointing.

Linabina: "Maria" was OK but it really was to freestyle what Deborah Cox is to the dance music scene. More pop than anything.

Quoth: I agree...stay far far away from anything related to KTU, except of course to meet hot latinas (they all have their BFs in tow) as well as guidettes if that's yout thing. Everything they do is shite and they thrown in the cheesiest cheeseballs for these events. Best thing to do is get an old tape or CD and listen to it in private and reminisce about the old days:laugh:

On a related note, does anybody remember "Dance Party USA" on USA Network?

...actually...this morning, one of my best girlfriends made me promise i would go with her to this party...so, believe it or not, i will be there...this will be my first ktu event since they were Hot 97...should be interesting...

..and no doubt...there will be loads of women there...tell cory to get ready...and this time lets hope the location is far far away from the belt parkway...

mike: yo i sooooooo remember Dance Party USA this is weird as hell how i remember both that and freestyle itself being that im only gonna be 22 yrs old this year. But i guess from having a 28 yr old sister and constantly hearing her play that stuff and also watching Dance Party USA had its effect lol. But yes definitely listening to a cd in private is yer best bet

nick: hmm...i dont know bro...i doubt u could drag me there....but...............................................................................................................................
