Beckham, 28, who has decried as "ludicrous" and "absurd" the allegations by two headline-grabbing women that he was sexually involved with them, appeared at a private party at Royal Albert Hall Monday night with his wife, Victoria, on his arm -- and a freshly shorn scalp on his head. Past Beckham haircuts have included a Mohawk, spikes and cornrows, reports the Associated Press. But this was the most dramatic. Photos in the papers showed the freshly shorn Real Madrid and England soccer star planting a kiss on his wife's forehead, while she looked back adoringly at him. In other social news involving Beckham's alleged circle, his former personal assistant, Rebecca Loos (who sold her story of the romance she claims to have had with the sports hero and then went on to talk about it on British TV), was an unexpected guest at Tuesday night's London premiere of Quentin Tarentino's "Kill Bill --Vol. 2," nearly stealing the spotlight away from the movie's stars Uma Thurman and Daryl Hannah. Strutting up the red carpet in a black-patterned, short spaghetti-strapped dress with a pal (TV presenter Emma Basden), Loos, 26, was spotted checking her phone for text messages. But she made no comment to press, PEOPLE's London bureau reports. As for Hannah, she set a reconciliatory tone for the event, throwing out peace signs to the assembled.
