thomar
Has Ken Jennings' 'Jeopardy!' Run Ended?LOS ANGELES - Has Ken Jennings ended his "Jeopardy!" streak? A report posted Wednesday on TV Week's Web site said the brainy software engineer lost in a show taped Tuesday, walking away after his 75th straight game with about $2.5 million overall in cash and prizes. The magazine cited unidentified sources and said the show would air later this fall. A representative for the show told TV Week that it would not disclose whether Jennings lost. Calls late Wednesday by The Associated Press to "Jeopardy!" publicist Jeff Ritter and to the show's production offices were not immediately returned. Jennings, 30, of Salt Lake City, began his record-breaking run June 2, with a six-week hiatus for summer reruns. After winning the show that aired Wednesday, his 41st, he had amassed $1,380,661. To mark the start of its 20th season last September, the quiz show lifted its five-game limit for winners and allowed them to keep going until they lose. ***********please let it be true, please let it be true!!!!!! it is. he lost in his 70-something game after winning 2.5+ million
joeygk
i watched the first couple of sets, roddick wasn't playing all that great . . . basically he has no net game and he can;t do anything well besides powering the ball past people. if you are able to return his first serve, or if he is having a bad service game, he's average at best. he needs to expand his repetoir, one thing is playing to your stengths the other is knowing how and when to vary things to keep your oponent always guessing. he was just so predictable during the first 2 sets. he probably won the 3rd and 4th when his service game improved.yeah...i agree, the whole "power serve" thing is getting old & IT'S BORING TO WATCH. Games where people w/ big serves are so boring to watch as they just pound the shots from the basline and never come in. That's why people like Tim Henman, Agassi & Hewitt are so much fun to watch.....when they attack the net, that's the best.
