Bouncers are quite adept at spotting them, not only from experience, but from the desire to keep their jobs. A club will get fined so hardcore if the cops catch you inside. No matter if you buy drinks and pay cover, you're a liability to the club. Plus Spi has their bouncers equipped with Palm Pilots that read the optical/magnetic encoding on your license to verify that it's real. An 80 dollar fake will not be encoded. 2) There is at least one or two 'all ages' parties a month nowadays...it's kinda coming back...while they may not be as cool as a real beach or downtown club, it's still better than sitting home and watching porno. The kids in miami are a bunch of reckless fucktards...and normally clubs did 'overlook' the id if you were a class act, but not anymore with code enforcement going ape...they gotta cover themselves. Underage people in a club nowadays are a liability, and a club cannot have any liabilities in this town. They are a business after all. I'm not saying that the kids don't get in, but it is a lot harder nowadays if you are under 21. It's not worth it to get caught, either, the cops are getting big on 'quality of life' issues on the beach. A recent article in the Sunpost mentioned 'underage people loitering on Washington Avenue' on weekend nights, as well as other annoyances such as the bling-bling crowd with their jacked-up Escalades and stereos being annoyingly loud...one cop mentioned that 'arrest was an option' for repeat offenders... Im not from Miami, so Ive learned the errors of my reckless ways before getting here. Im not a kandi kid, but I cant stand to dress like a prissy girl.Its true if the cops would just enforce the laws...the ones that make sense, they could let the whole under 21 things slide. It also helps if kids have a brain and dont go wild when they get in the club. I hate to say this but by the time Im 21(and trust me Im a baby) everything will be 25 or 30 and up.
