cookiegirl
From their website:"Food was prepared by The Starving Artists, the talented cooks of Four Quarters, and Saturday's free Fractal Feast was truly an impressive spread. I was told this was a Rustaufel, a tradition from Bali of fragrant rice served with a bounty of toppings. And there were almost two dozen different dishes to choose from, with at least a dozen more different sauces scattered around the dining area, from hot sauces to sweetened coconut to things I couldn't identify. The food has always been exceptional at Four Quarters, but this was more varied than I've ever seen. There was no chance you'd go away unsatisfied by that feast. A high energy event requires high energy fuel, and the Staff were well on top of providing that."

Hmmm... it does seem like an easy raid/bust for middle-of-nowhere with nothing better to do PA authori-TAYS. Based on the weather we've been having, it'll probably be a wet rainy mud-fest (which isn't always a bad thing ) too. Thinking about it, they could probably use that new-fangled RAVE act on this, or at least it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to.Ok, so who's up for burning man? cookiegirl
I don't think it's a massive in the same sense as say, the NYC Boo parties or whatnot. More of a hippie/hipster dance naked under the moon gathering thingy. After reading through the site it seems really laid back, enviro friendly, and small scale. I bet the cops leave stuff like this alone.I'm sure the 16 and under thing is so the hippies can bring little Moon Unit and Rainbow babies and let them run around in their diapers. kramadas
HOly shit! Might have to do this! Yeah, these are nothing like massives..its normally a 3 day festival..they have these shops and stuff selling funky clothes, rings, chai, etc, etc. Also food stalls. Its more like a festival than anything else.Thats similar to the one I went to in South Africa. Normally there's always a police presence too (I think).ANybody else up for this? I'm thinking, thinking real hard!

Just because it won't be tolerated doesn't mean they won't sell booze (at least beer). Hell those signs are int he MCI center too, but they sell beer.
