I'm 23, and I got into the party scene @ the end of my sophomore yr in high school (96) so i was 16 when I was going out. I personally think that's when raves were the SHIT... there was the fantasias, the brass monkeys, the boo parties, park rave madness, caffeine, stuck on earth parties. The big DJS then were Tommy Tunes, Adam X, Dever, Mike Dearborn, Bad Boy Bill, DJ rush, gonzo, micro, Creator, big jungle names were dieselboy, odi, and dara. But I didnt go to the party unless bones was headlining, cuz he used to rip shit up.... especially in NYC. I used to go to Sonic Groove once a month, to get all of bones' lates "ghetto technics" singles. If ur familiar with the scene then I'm pretty sure u heard of BTS before. well anyway after like a yr and a half the scene was not healthy anymore... way too cracked out.. so i dropped raves completely. That's when i got an ID and migrated to "club" scene. went to twilo, tunnel, vinyl, exit.. then those clubs were getting cracked out for me, cuz that whole atmosphere was too reminiscent of raves, which is the main reason why i chilled out with SF.
