bigpoppanils Posted July 2 Report Share Posted July 2 according to CAR, the next Passat will be based on the Golf...not the A4.it will drop the Torsen AWD in favor of a Haldex AWD system.engines will be a 150hp 2.0 4cyl, 180hp 2.0 turbo 4cyl, 240hp 2.3 V6, and some diesel options.transmissions will consist of 5 and 6 speed manuals, a six speed automatic, and a DSG (clutchless manual transmission like in the M3) option.a Passat Plus (about the size of an A6) will become availalbe at a later datea 300hp tubrocharged V6 will be offered sometime after launch Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
