petp Posted July 11 Report Share Posted July 11 dipped? thats not what ive heard. the color itself cannot be replicated on a street car. its a special 3 part paint (special primer, black, and silver) that contains real silver in it. and since silver oxidizes VERY easily, the slightest scratch will ruin your paint completely. so its basically impossible to repair. its a show car paint and thats it. rumor has it bmw has gotten such a favorable reaction to it that theyre working on a production version of this paint.heres is the link to the company in italy that did the work for bmw, if anyone reads italian, id love to know what it says.... http://www.color-dec.it/mj_cromo.htm Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
