Ejoy it while u can. all of those that were laid off from Saab were ENGINEERS!!!!half of Saab's R&D program was completely wiped out and taken over by chevy engineers. as for the SUV, originally Saab was supposed to get a version of the Cadillac SRX, and it would be placed against the European SUV's. Now, The Saab SUV will be competing with Explorers. the Saab 9-2 is an interesting development (small coupe based on Impreza with Saab's pwn engines).
