How was it despite the fact that only 3 CP'ers went? Last week it was packed and I believe the only CP'ers there were me, trouble, and fx.... stryke303 Posted August 2 Report Share Posted August 2 thanks for comin out saleen. i had a fun time just hanging out w/ my friends.. casey (meryln), merny, wendel, aj, matt, ash, etc...that booth is going to need a little work. i couldn't touch the turntables w/out the rubber feet on the botttom (replaced rubber feet) moving to make the tables skip. oh, and the montior caught on fire...that was fun. so, i got pissed...but the show must go on. c'est la vie and all that. anyway, it was weird being back in that building last nite. but was fun. good hanging at lester's w/ james, ramon, and friends. the club said that they would listen to what we had to say about the booth and room and fix it. let's see if they do. if they do, they'll have a good room to work with.paz,stryke Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rcrespo Posted August 2 Report Share Posted August 2 yeeah its a cool room .. nick there were 5 cp'ers there you just didnt know the other 2 .. james954 and treepwood. its a cool venue .. but it does need some work .. although it reminds me of icon in orlando or icon reminds me of the old edge .. cool little place regardless .. a techno party would work there if they made it all dark and scary and they promoted the fuck out of it and had greg and some other techno dj's and maybe mix it up with some house and breaks .. variety is the spice of life .. have the breaks/house dj open and then have the techno guys rip the roof off till 5am or later if they want. I definitely will be in attendance next week for the Kimball Collins and Andy Hughes party, maybe we should all meet up. Peace!P.S. erickamikaze Posted August 4 Report Share Posted August 4 Well I made it there also, but only know a few CP'ers personally.I was really looking forward to another night at Venu, but after all the problems with the monitor, lack of crowd, and no AC I was dissapointed.My friend and I stayed for a while and were the only ones on the dance floor at times. She was diggin' the music, I was diggin her, but the energy in the place was lacking.Hopefully the crowd and energy return this week.We will be there supporting, like a jockstrap!
