Bush wants another 90 billion for the war on terror and he wants to double what we're spending in Iraq.I think i'm gonna have to put my foot down and say "NO" to this one.We invaded, we took the casualties, NATO bitched and whined.Let them pay some of the bill if they want to reap any of the benefits. Israel can't even deal with their own territory, nevermind one that's a few hundred miles away.it's just a royal PITA to hear everyday about "the war on terror", meanwhile we're also told "there's lots going on behind the scenes that we can't tell you about"...it's like okay... then how about you stop putting it all over the news, do the fucking job and stop making a big deal about it since you can't say anything detailed. Just go kill the bad guys, do it on the downlow and if you want to report it, make sure it gets the 9'OClock news, but i dont want to wake up every morning and hear about how they're searching for someone, can't find him, can't say where they're looking, can't say what they're using to look for said individual and can't say they'll tell us when they find him, due to security. So..... Shut the Fuck Up then.90 billion could pay for a sizeable chunk of our nuclear sub fleet - and they want it to prevent some bomb-carrying dude living in a cave from building explosives out of fertilizer, a few 55 gallon drums and a rented or stolen econoline van?c'mon. There is nothing right now that he can do to please anyone. It will happen in a year or two, maybe longer when we see Iraq and the outcome of the war in full. He may not even be in office when the finality of it occurs.This is time period of day to day reconstruction and rebuilding that we as a country do not have the patience for (think of it as a sports team rebuilding, and the fans are impatient).
