LP makes a living feeding off of the hard earned dollars of working people. Space is no Mynt, but it is LP's personal Mint (the type that makes money).Clubs like Mynt feed off of the rich. They cater to them, feed their egos and take their cash. Clubs like Space make its loyal customers wait in ridiculous lines like cattle, lie about password times and discounts, overcharge for drinks including water (how about $3 less per drink?). And, this is just the tip of the iceberg. I've heard stories on this very board about people being ruffed up by club employees, harassed, overcharged for drinks ect... Shit, its seems that the club policy is that Customers come LAST. Space is famous for treating its guests like shit. The really sad part is that Space's most loyal of loyal customers are honest good people that deserve to be treated with more respect. I am truly amazed at how many of you have been burned in one way or another and yet you come back for more.Whatever LP's current marketing ploy is does not matter. How about improving the attitude of your club (exceptions being OG, Roly and Biz). HEY LP: How about getting rid of the French fag at the door? How about keeping the line moving so people that got on line at 11P have a shot at getting in before Midnight for free w/ the password? How about respecting your customers who work much harder than YOU at jobs that pay much less than you earn? How about respecting the laws and government of this nation without your bitching? pod Posted November 5 Report Share Posted November 5 The way I see it is that his comments were ultimately self-destructive towards the scene he professes to love in other articles...whether he was talking about Space, crobar, Nerve, NV (or is it eNVy now?), or Level in the context that they are pretty much drug hangouts, it was ultimately destructive towards the scene he professes to be a part of...you think that he would have thought of that before he put pen to paper...I still think it's a personal vendetta of sorts, or maybe he's one of these people that decries the "commercialism" of the scene and sees the town megaclub as responsible for it. Whatever his motives may have been, I've felt that what he felt should have been left unsaid for the time being...if the feds can come after the big clubs, it won't be a major issue for them to dispatch a team or two to the smaller places, whether they be the upscale lounges, or the "underground" hipster hangouts he no doubtedly frequents as well. ( humourous sidebar: I'd love to see some SWAT action on an "upscale lounge" someday hehe..)I've seen his articles, he takes it up the ass from Mynt, and sucks BED's dick all at once, with a side serving of bukakke from the mod-squad parties that have recently begun to proliferate down here...ironically, he's employed by a fairly large corporation...the New Times!
