    happy b*day Ramon

    Happy Birthday homie
  2. INDEED! There is no place like HOME.
  3. Thanks y'all;) see u Saturday!
  4. wow...SO much new music from Miami artists this week!!! I think something is brewing around here...several local artists are developing quite NICELY....see u tonight;) could be a MADE in MIAMI SESSION!
  5. THANK YOU to everyone who came out...I really appreciate the support! OG
  6. There is a lot of negativity on this board....and back and forth discussions from many people who, in many cases, dont even go out! I feel like many times this board isnt a true reflection of our scene but rather a sounding board for clubbers past their prime..Jaded and out of touch...The truth is we're very fortunate to have a local scene as strong as ours...There are several clubs doing quality EDM events here and local artists touring the globe spreading the Miami flavor...Most cities I arrive in..I am welcomed with a "my greatest Miami moment was ..." story. I was born and raised here...and Im pretty proud of how far we've come...Id love to see a little more creativity, enthusiasm and progress in this town and less bickering and "HATIN'! " Great topic Biz... Sometimes its tough to see whats right in front of you!
  7. This CD and film are my little humble homage to Space and my extremely loyal audience there...I am very greatful for the opportunity to hold a residency in a club like Space in my own hometown....and I am even luckier to have an audience that has grown to trust me and is receptive to new music every week...Many of my good friends and local artists are a HUGE part of this project...and helped me out tremendously...I TRULY appreciate it and I hope I did you guys justice.. 8. I'm thrilled to bits that you took the time to rebut. You really do not need to rebut again as it serves no useful purpose. Good Day! My purpose was to refute....not rebut Good Day to you sir!
  9. Being that Ive been to Space more than once in the past few years...I can safely tell you that it is not a "Top 40 dance club" I wish people would see things for themselves before they open their wanne-be elitists mouths... If people in this town would be less occupied with being the cool kids ...then maybe we could achieve the great local artist community we SHOULD have...but until then I guess we'll settle for elitism, labels and uber-cool words like "underground" (jeez thats so 90s) as for Mansion...good luck to the DJs that deal with this organization...get your money upfront kids!!!
  10. shocked... I will miss my friend....RIP God help his family in this horrible time..
  11. LOL : I think Ralph and I have played a total of 3 times together at Space in 7 years....but anyway Space and Murk are definitely NOT for everyone....but for those of you who ARE interested....We have some pretty cool suprises planned Im so glad this board is NOT a reflection of our local scene....it would be pretty sad if it was...I love the fact that most of the time...the ONLY people who post are those who have something negative to say or have no interest in the club or event that is being talked about... Don t you guys realize...when we post the info for these events...its for the folks that actually give a shit..and go out and dance on Saturday nights...who for the most part...are the MAJORITY of people that read this board.....they are just intelligent enough to READ the info and not engage in ridiculous hateful arguments that question peoples careers, merrit and success? lol how do you measure that anyway? I guess it depends on who you are.. SEE YOU SATURDAY LURKERS;) -OG
  12. Somehow its always the people who dont go out...who are the experts on where NOT to go....the HATE on this board is tangible..lol Good luck Rob...hope you have a good time while youre here (sorry I wont be there that night) Congrats and thanks for choosing our club and lovely city to spend some time in with your significant other;) OG Thanks for being the welcome wagon gang...psssss (God forbid people would think Space or Miami was an international clubbing destination!!) :
  13. started somehwere around 1978...ended up somewhere around 2009 THANK YOU to everyone who danced
  14. What the heck do you care? youre an old fart that doesnt even go out!! but ummm.... Id like to add Cue and Markus Shultz to that line-up SEE Y'ALL TONIGHT!!! THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!! not bad. its a shame that Politics and schedules dont allow some obvious djs that certainly left thier stamp behind at space during the 7 year span. Bellini, Roland, Edgar V and Cedric would be a killer one time reunion lineup omg
  15. You know what Nelson...you guys should just stop beating around the bush, and say what it is you really want to say... Give us the masterplan....the TRUTH You oviously have made a clear judgement that the DJs currently playing at local clubs are beneath you and your superior form of dance music...I say you tell us WHY you are more qualified than them..oh wait...I mean US....YOU are going to teach us right? YOU are going to revolutionize Miami nightlife, where we have failed.. I agree with you whole-heartedly when you say Miami has a LONG way to go....as far as achieving a diverse EDM scene....but man, shitting on the guys that are fighting your fight is just dumb and ultimately only SELF-SERVING... less than ten years ago.....trance was king here.....so I hit the road...FOR YEARS....thats just the way it was....what should I do??? sit here moping around because noone wanted to hear house music? Bad mouth George Acosta, Edgar V, David Padilla (and whoever else was playing Trance) at the more popular clubs? absolutely not! I respected them as fellow artists..was happy for their success and had and maintain friendships with all of them (regardless of genre) All that being said...I disagree with the opinion that people in this town will not, or can not get into new sounds and new music...Miami actually has a long lineage of great dance music...we've just been SPOILED ROTTEN for the last few years and now were moving into a new era (opportunity!!)....I also agree that the clubs have oversaturated and tried to milk the "Superstar DJ" trend to the BONE! and we have payed the price as a scene...but most importantly its the DJs...If the DJs succumb to being safe...especially when the going is good...it only sets us back.. (us meaning people that have dedicated most of their lives to building a decent music scene in this town) We as DJs in this town need to take some responsibility and give people their moneys worth....do your fucking research and find some fresh GOOD music that will move your audience..without pounding them over the head with the same safe tracks...but also without LOOSING your audience.. I have zero interest in VIPs and dress codes...I think their pretty dumb quite frankly...and many times undermine the whole concept of the music I love...but I also realize that certain people prefer a certain type of service/enviroment...and that is there right...especially since theyre spending theyre hard earned cash on it.. I think you "minimal, tech" dudes should get off your high horse and realize a few things: for starters...youre just part of a trend yourselves...Most DJs (who are KNOWN for Mimimal) are RUNNING away from that term at this point...any categorization or labeling of music is just a marketing ploy anyway...and to feel an alleigeance to just ONE of these terms, labels, brands is very limiting...especially as a DJ... The people you diss on here indirectly...are probably the ONLY people that can and WILL help u guys out (I mean the working DJs you feel are inadequate)...and are among the ONLY ones who believe in what you are trying to do...and the music you love.. There is a community of DJs/ artists in this town...that although is small..and very diverse in styles...is very present....and I for one talk to many of these guys on a regular basis..exchange music....support eachothers gigs etc....You seem to have that as well...but for some reason, have decided to set yourselves apart...and somehow place yourselves on some type of superior platform....where you throw around words like "underground" "real music" "mega-clubs" "monopoly" but yet...what youre bitching about...is that you arent getting YOUR music into the mega-clubs...bottom line is: if you make or play music...you want an audience...and we are all trying to get our sound out there...because we believe in it..but it isnt cool, in my opinion, to hate on the guys that are doing their thing when its their turn...HOUSE was a bad word around here not too long ago...give it some time kids! and dont take yourselves out of the game, before its even begun..
  16. Believe me...Im aware of what you are talking about...(and if you think Im not, you underestimate me) but you shouldnt constantly overlook what IS good in this town....You should embrace it and support it. Otherwise, an overall better and healthiER music scene will never materialize...I was born and raised here...so I remember a time when we didnt even have the luxury of shitting on the "big commercial mega-club" cause they dont play what the cool guys in Ibiza play... You have to keep in mind... Morillo, Roger, Dirty South and whoever else you have deemed "uncool" are ALSO regular fixtures in Ibiza...so are Tiesto, PVD, David Guetta, Bob Sinclair etc... The point is...different strokes for different folks The guys on the patio do their thing...and I do mine inside...and everyone is happy My suggestion is...instead of coming on here and putting shit down....give me some NEWS...give me some OPTIONS....tell me where I can go hear some new music...tell me whos playing it...Information would go a MUCH longer way than bitching does.. I am with you in the fight ....shit, Im on the front lines!!! but coming on public message boards with sweeping criticisms (that undermine what many people do to improve things) doesnt help anyone..just sets us back. BTW: DT never posted on this board...so why would I reply to him on here? Besides....I tend to keep my conversations with friends AWAY from public messageboards. :Bitching, whining and discrediting other people's hard work and talent is easy... Being relevant to what happens....thats a little tougher.. Hopefully someday the Tech4Futures of the world will give this town the credit it deserves...but sometimes its hard to spot a good thing...when its all you ever see.. One mans Ibiza is another mans Miami....people are influenced by all types of sounds...and there are TONS of sub-genres in dance music...thats why dance music is so popular Globally..its funny though how some feel worthy of choosing what this towns musical preference SHOULD be.... I, for one, am glad were different. OG, thanks for getting into this because you are my one true and only exception to every generality that i make......you were the reason i fell in love with miami bro....those marathons years ago sucked me in....so i really hope you are not offended, but try and take the few points i am trying to make without all of my opinionated blabber and compare it to others who have had similar complaints...we arent making this shit up... miami deserves a more music minded and driven nightlife than what it has become since i moved here.... where the fuck where you when DT called you out and said the same shit....now, i along with countless other ousted people on here(see nova) and DT cant be experiencing a different miami than you.... with that said.... you know the hotness right now is not dirty south electro bassline anthem shit....and it sure as hell is not mashup.... why is everyone afraid of detroit and berlin???? you do it proper with some tech here and there but i am speaking mostly of afterhours at space....you have all my respect for holding down that place for so long....your parties i dont have too much of a problem with at all to be honest...i just wish that patio was being used better....
  17. Thank you VERY much to everyone who came out..I truly appreciate it...You made it a special night
