I cant beleive it!!...for ONCE you are right Nick (well sort of) The fact is this date was agreed to several months ago and Aurelio (owner of La Covacha) is a good friend of mine so I could not let him down and pull out...I actually had to cut my European tour short to make it back for this date...I made the mistake of not including this in my bookings calendar so there was a bit of a mix up.... That being said...from this point on I will no longer do any South Florida dates other than my monthly party at Space (which we have several surprises in store for) The whole idea was to build something special and that is what I intend to do..We will fill you guys in on details soon.. as for La Covacha...it is a GREAT place! and for those of you that have never been you should definitely check it out, it has been a staple for a decade and it is a great change of pace..and that French guy is playing too..I heard he's not that bad... ;D

Thanks alot for all the kind words guys!! ;D Leaving my weekly Saturday after nearly 5 years was a very tough decision for me to make and one that I have been contemplating for some time now...I have ALWAYS looked forward to playing there every week and have endured some gruelling travel schedules in order to make it back on time to play at Space (Ive been on 48 hours of no sleep on many a night!)...The staff and everyone at Space has always made me feel as if it was my home and that is how I will always see it as MY HOME... I am glad we were able to work it out to where I am still a part of Space as a monthly resident... I truly appreciate the continued support many of you guys on this board have given me (for years now)..I hope to see you guys every month!! (and will miss seeing you every week) especially those faces I have seen on the floor since day one!! Thanks!!!! O.G. We were never scheduled to play moron! It was simply a small party to celebrate our birthdays together (since they are only a few days apart) A big Thank you to Biz, David and my bro for being great hosts and throwing the best Wedensday party in town.. If you were so smart you would realize that it would be very tough for Ralph and I to do a big event in Mimai where we both played due to our respective residencies... and as for the industry and what its saying...you are a sad little man who has no idea whats going on because you dont even go out....You live a sad message board dork life and only the attention you get from these ignorant posts keep you going .. The truth is I miss playing the 10 hour sets every week at Space...but the fact is that my tour schedule just doesnt allow me to do that anymore...Space is my favorite place to play in the world...but in the next 2 months I will play there only three times:-/...I am off to Ibiza, Italy, Portugal and the UK for several dates then back for a small South American tour then off again to play in Japan and Singapore..(representing MIAMI at every stop!!!) The fact that we were able to snag Cedric is great because he can hold down the main room while I am away and that was a major issue for us for quite some time... can I vote for both options on this poll? ;D SALEEN YOU ARE A MORON!!! the rest of you....MUCH LOVE!

WWW.DJOSCARG.COM anyway...you guys should know that most of us "local" djs are friendly and respect eachother (no matter where our careers may take us) as a matter of fact some of my best friends are DJs (Ralph, Stryke, Edgar, Roly etc.) We know how to keep business seperate from our personal relationships and never let that interfere.. Salvation on the beach? as in Saturday nights with Dj Abel? or the original Salvation in Downtown?? The roots of the "Miami party scene" came way before any of those clubs you mentioned...as far as House Music goes, there was Danny Tenaglia at Cheers, Aldo Hernandez at Club Nu, David Padilla at Warsaw, David Knapp and Luis Diaz at Boomerang (and were not even talking 1990 yet at this point)..and way before that , there was a thriving electro and freestyle scene in Miami, where there were even radio stations dedicated to that style of music...and LONG before that there was a HUGE disco scene in Miami with some of the biggest disco classics being created right here by local producers on record labels like TK DISCO..and every week there would be live performances by Disco's biggest artists at several Miami clubs... ..My point is...I think maybe what you mean is those clubs are YOUR roots in the scene...I, for one, never even went to The Edge (although Ive heard plenty about it from Bruce and Stryke) At that point I was traveling every week...playing clubs like The Hacienda (see 24 hour Party People ) Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Yellow...(and years before that being inspired at clubs like Zanzibar in NJ, Shelter, Red Zone and Sound Factory in NYC) but anyway..... You sound very passionate about SOMETHING....I just don't quite understand what that SOMETHING is.....It is definitely a good thing though...we need more people who are passionate about dance music, it is what has kept it alive for so many years....I just think your posts border on random thoughts and arent really getting to the point, (if there is a point)... When people start using terms like "REAL DJs" and "TRUE ORIGINS" I always tune out because this is exactly what holds EDM back...Elitism runs rampant in our small industry and it is always an obstacle...we could definitely do without it... Good luck with whatever it is you are trying to do... BTW: The Dancestar awards are for Dance Music...The nominees for "Best Radio Station" were ALL dance music stations...not sure what point was proven by your comments above ???

NO Do you think the CD was too much tribal and sold out on your "miami house" sound with the tech house on disc 2? NO Does the cd actualy represent what you really do at Space? Because I feel the cd is not indicative of what you do at Space. YES According to my sources and from others in the industry tell me, those live cds are done in the studio and you just mix over the crowd noise. How did you record this cd? LIVE @ SPACE Don't you feel a better reprensentation of you live at space would just be you doing your thing without compling the cd in the studio first? IMPOSSIBLE....AS TRACKS MUST BE LISCENSED AND CLEARED Do you feel the peak of EDM was at the exact time club drugs peaked? FRANKIE KNUCKLES is the man!!!! nothing but RESPECT for him!!! a great DJ and a great person.....he has been a huge inspiration and supporter from the beginning....and those of us lucky to have been around this beautiful thing called HOUSE from the beginning know exactly who Frankie is and what he represents!!! (it's actually kind of scary that there are so many people in this town who have no clue who he is yet love house music) My suggestion is....if you dont know who he is...GO FIND OUT! and if you know who he is......YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO! You cant understand where we are unless you know where we've been...and Frankie is both....LEGENDARY! I truly hope this party works and he gets the turn-out he deserves....hell I may even stop by before heading to Space! ;D O.G. see you at Space afterwards....and bring Frankie with you!
