vicman
Just a reminder that Monday is World AIDS Day. I hope everyone takes time to remember the lives that have been lost and that are being affected by this totally preventable disease. It's also a good time to raise awareness and erradicate the stigma around it.************World AIDS Day is a time to strengthen our commitment and to remember the estimated 22 million lives lost to this devastating global epidemic. It is estimated that over 42 million people worldwide are infected with HIV, and millions more will be infected by the end of the decade. Approximately 900,000 Americans are living with HIV/AIDS, and many of them don't know they are infected. In addition, some 40,000 are newly infected with HIV in this country every year. http://www.omhrc.gov/worldaidsday/index.htm
