yep, i know this has been done before, but since the last thread, i think there may have been some 'technological advances" ;)

can anyone recommend a good flatiron? price really isnt a huge issue, as long as its under 150$.

has anyone tried the CHI ones?

hey, do what i do - get the japanese thermal straightening done.

it costs about $300-400, lasts for about 6-8 months.

it beats frying the hell out of my hair to straighten it.

i've gotten it done twice, i'll probably get it done again later this year....

it's the SH!T..

You guys should def. try the CHI irons! Worth the money if youre going to flatiron on a reg. basis.

Note-Any flatiron will start to fry your hair if you use it more than twice a week!

Also--the bio-ionic is great the first time around, but the retouches can start to make your hair break unless it is super strong! I started going with the "ManeTamer" relaxer and my hair has been much better since!

P.s. Im a licensed cosmetology specialist-Manicurist/Pedicurist/waxing and have been around the Salon scene for 10 years---and although i dont do hair, i constantly learn new stuff and see the new products all the time!

Oh and never use metal plated irons! you will fryyyyyy your wig!
