lalate Posted April 15 Report Share Posted April 15 ..... it's amazing how "new" promoters, at least some of them, have DREADFUL technique at inviting people.Someone came up to me and my group last night, cuz we're all good looking, like almost scared me cuz he was there and then not there, like speedy gonzalez or wild e coyote combined lol, gave me a card upside down with his name on it and took off. I'm like WTF! ... i turn the card rightside up and then over, still couldnt see the card (font was too dark and too small) .. i got a candle, put it up to the card and THENNNNNN i realized, ooooh, you're a promoter. Or does you get a cut of the night's take in? Or are payments arranged in other ways? And who puts up the dough for the DJ, security, bartender, etc.? I feel there is nothing wrong having a poster complimenting their collective group of friends that were hanging out one night as good looking.
