Please explain to me how the Bowflex will "tone" your muscles...... and how its magical "toning" ability makes it worth the exhorbitant price, compared to a modest free weights setup. Evidently, you have not seen the commercials. Those people are ripped from just 20 minutes 3 x's per week with the bowflex. It must be a truly amazing peace of equipment. Oh, and they drink milk, too. Nautica

"Tone" = muscle mass with low bodyfat. The best way to get "toned"? Lift free weights and eat fewer calories than you burn. Funny how it also happens to be the least expensive way, huh?LOL @ Elites. You will see some modest improvement in your physique if you create a good program, stick with it, and control your diet. Definitely not as good as you can get with free weights, though. The Bowflex has no equivalent for squats, for example.

elitesnautica
Howard you spent your money well. I believe Dorian Yates, also, used the bowflex to prepare for his competitions. You should sign up for the Arnold classic. That will give you plenty of time to prepare for the competition, so long as you follow the "bowflex" plan.Nautica
