I wish I could speculate on why you're "closing" (for lack of a better term) UNYC, and of course we all have theories and queries, but I hope that you'll use one of the forums to let us know the deal, for real. In all the time that was spent on UNYC discussing ways to protect and nurture House Music and the scene, we overlooked protecting and nurturing the only outlet that let these discussions take place. Just know you provide such a needed service that I, for one, would gladly be willing to pay for it - if that was one of the roadblocks in getting you back on-line.
