Groovefire (Rise, Sullivan Room, Groovanauts.com :: Boston, MA):

Groovefire is a Boston-based DJ and production trio. Since getting together less than 3 years ago, Groovefire has quickly developed into an emerging national/international DJ act, appearing at countless clubs throughout New England, New York City and Miami, including several coveted winter music conference appearances, as well as a recent show in Mexico. They have played along side many of the world’s most respected artists, such as D:Fuse, Dirty Vegas, Charles Feelgood and Steve Porter. They have had mixes featured coast to coast on XM Satellite Radio and a number of internet radio shows. Currently, Groovefire are monthly residents at Boston’s legendary afterhours club RISE and quarterly residents at New York City’s ultra-popular Sullivan Room. Generally, they are known best for their trademark brand of funky and funky-progressive house, though they no doubt have the range to play any room any time. Their vibe is unwaveringly uplifting and energetic, and never fails to transform even the most discriminating dancefloor into an absolute party. Learn more @ http://www.groovefire.com.

Royce Haven (EMC, Pulse, Groovanauts.com :: Washington, DC):

Royce's music roots date back to his early years in NYC where he grew up listening to the electro pop, synth-driven sounds of the 80's and falling in love with the growing movement of HIP-HOP. It was in 89 after he moved to DC where he was first introduced to house music. Royce was given a mix tape by his fellow DJ friend, Omar. He instantly fell in love with the emotional and diverse sounds of Electronic Music. He promised Omar that one day he would also be a DJ. Royce is now fulfilling that promise holding multiple residencies in New York @ Happy Ending www.groovanauts.com and DC @ Pulse www.pulsedc.com and spinning regularly at Glow, DC and Spank, DC. He has also been privileged enough to spin with some of today's hottest DJ's such as Max Graham and John ‘00' Flemming. If spinning is not enough, Royce keeps himself busy in his studio working on a EP with collaborations from Samio of Yoshitoshi and J-Punch of Global Underground. He has a diverse sound ranging from house, breaks, trance and techno. With his unique sound and talented mixing at the decks he is guaranteed to fill up the energy on any dance floor.
