djkable
could be anything on any given night... there's no consistency with that place.definitely not a place to take a chance with if you don't know what's going on there that night.
coachjames
It is a very interesting place. They do all sorts of stuff. Promoters come and go. The space itself is pretty cool. The building has been all sorts of things, from a gov't building to a brothel. It is very old and the decor reflects it. Lots of wood. Kind of like Cheers on acid. Two stories, lots of different rooms (not all in use, yet). It could be a real cool place if, (A) it was not in Hollywood, and ( it was well managed. lyrik
South Florida has very different and seperated scenes....generally there is the club scene and then there is the party (rave) scene. This place plays host to more of the party (rave) types of events with generally younger crowds, low budget production (no offense to anyone just stating the obvious), mostly local and/or unknown talent....not saying they are bad events just that they do not have a lot to work with and do the best with whats available. The club vs. the party scene down here is so dis-attached its not even funny...I don't think I have ever lived anywhere where its that seperated. Usually there is an amalgamation somewhere along the lines...but they keep it pretty divided here....and in all honesty it use to be the party scene that was all about promoting unity..blah blah blah....well I haven't seen that in SFL and if anything its the club goers that are more unified and better mannered within their circles.
