origskeemr Posted July 22 Report Share Posted July 22 Four Inmates Charged With Escape After Going On Beer Run --------------------------------------------------------------------------------ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. -- Four jail inmates in Tennessee are accused of sneaking out on a beer run, then coming back.Authorities said the men thought they wouldn't get in trouble, as long as they returned to jail.The Hawkins County sheriff said cellblock doors were left unlocked Thursday night, and a faulty control panel failed to signal jailers. Two inmates walked out a fire exit, used a Bible to keep the door propped open, cut a hole in a fence, went to a market and came back with beer.
