Clubbing in London - help!

Recommended Posts

Heading to London for a long weekend with some fellow clubbers. Does anyone suggest any good clubs to hit up? I've heard Ministry of Sound, Fabric, and Heaven are good...also need to book a hotel, and we have no idea where to stay. Any help would be much appreciated!!

http://www.neverstandstill.com/crasher/ukevents (gatecrasher website...they have a monthly at heaven)

as far as hotels....whenever I have gone there I havent needed a hotel, so I cant help you. Take a look at the tube map (http://tube.tfl.gov.uk/) when looking for places to make sure that it isnt too far away from the clubs.

Turnmills and Fabric are near the Farringdon tube, The End is near Covent garden, and Heaven is near Charing cross.

Ministry of Sound blows imo--very commercial, though once in a while there's some good talent. Chus, Wally Lopez and Demi just played there this past weekend.

Heaven is a gay club, just so you know, except when Digweed throws the Bedrock party once every few months, and they have other one-off monthly events.

Fabric and The End are the best clubs in London if you're a house/tech house/techno head. Fabric has one of the best sound systems anywhere. Lawler, Layo & Bushwacka, Laurent Garnier and Derrick Carter all have residencies at The End. The Cross is very good as well, it's a small Miami style club with multiple rooms that caters to house music. The Renaissance party at The Cross is the best to hit up, imo.

For drum and bass, go to Rhythm Factory, Fabriclive, Herbal or the Progression Sessions party at The End. Turnmills I personally don't like for a number of reasons, but they bring in excellent talent. If you're into trance, that's about the only club in London where you might find trance. London is a house, techno, breaks and DnB city. There are also tons of smaller parties, lounges, boat parties, and occasionally, illegal raves that you have to do homework on.

People will also list smaller parties sometimes on the Bedrock boards:

And you can find listings for literally almost any club here:
