Everyone is a movie critic. Getting paid for it is a harder job to get. Unless you're someone like Harry Knowles with a website and your own income from advertisers for the traffic you pull in yourself, you would have to be well written, articulate in your descriptions and details of movies, and able to stifle the "gee, wow, awesome!" labels and describe not only a movie story but also the fine points of scenes and moods in a manner of describing the movie's intents and where it took you as the viewer. I'd say you have to be strong in essay writing and communication, and be able to back that up in your resume with articles written for local papers or college projects, persuasive essays and papers, and whatever else would show that you have skills in getting a message across.
