kfitz73
Posted by Adam Freemer on DTourism.comSULLIVAN ROOM * KEEPING IT FRESH FOR 2005!New sound and look unveiled on January 22nd.On Saturday, January 22nd, the Sullivan Room will unveil a state-of-the-art sound installation that will make every night at the club even more memorable. The present sound system will be completely replaced with Cerwin-Vega's flagship line of ultra high-performance speaker systems * the VISION system. Based around high-tech titanium drivers and rugged birch cabinetry, VISION combines crystal-clear highs, punchy mids, and deep driving bass, elevating the dancing and listening experience to a whole new level. The improvements have been made with the DJs in mind as well. Club director Sergei Sklarenko says the Sullivan Room, the only venue in New York to feature the VISION system, will now attract even more of the world's leading DJs. "We've really focused on making the Sullivan Room a place where the DJs have an unforgettable time," he says. "This new system will only heighten the energy and experience."To help christen the new system will be Sullivan Room veteran Behrouz from San Francisco. This rising west coast DJ and producer's stunning mix of tribal, deep and progressive house will certainly give the VISION sound system a full-on workout. Warming up will be DJ Adam Freemer.Beyond the sound, there are more changes afoot at the Sullivan Room. The club's interior is getting a visual makeover as well, from the couches to the walls and beyond. The new look will only deepen the feeling that when one ventures inside the Sullivan Room, they are going on a nightlife journey into the unknown. The club's final night in its present form will be Saturday, January 15th with guest DJ Garth from San Francisco. To unveil the new room, the club will be hosting a VIP open bar on January 22nd from 9PM to 11PM.The new look and sound is the first step for what promises to be a big year for the club. Club Systems International has nominated the Sullivan room for its 2005 Nightstalker prize at their annual Club World Awards, held during the Winter Music Conference. The Sullivan Room is also hosting its first-ever WMC showcase on Thursday, March 24th at Teasers on Ocean Drive, with a full-on lineup of club favorites including Hector Romero, Scumfrog, Asad Rizvi, Jay Tripwire and many more.FOR MORE INFORMATION * Contact Sergei Sklarenko sergei@topdjgear.com € (212) 475-5003__________________

stymie
booooo x 1,000I liked it the way it was. Its basement, non-phazon, kinda grubby, no models and bottles style kept all the NJ toolbags out.Itll be cool for a while then the meatheads or the wu-tang head swayers will take it over. phatman
...not directed to your post kevin, i mean in general.....i dont want sully to be taken over by certain undesirables that will lead to a name change and ultimately the closing of a spot that so many called a second home..... The name change / facelift had nothing to do with it...

The name change / facelift had nothing to do with it...phatman was referring to how ARC turned to shit the way other venues keep turning to shit, its like the crackheads, azns n guidos all hear about this amazing spot and then proceed to invade.deep is right, the owners and promoters never struck me as money hungry, just good times. deepspell
ive been saying it for years....its not about phazons, bottles, snobby door people....its about a dooooope system in a basement, a good Dj that loves the crowd and feeds off them, and a good crowd that loves the DJ right back and helps him RIP IT SIIIIIIICK sully has all of that and then some........just look at the parties bro....tronicsoul tuesdaysdeluxematter/formnastiest weeklys the city eva seen

kfitz73
= money driven Not really...Bindra rented Arc like you would rent an apartment. The building owner decided that he wanted a luxury condo and didn't renew the lease. Bindra had no say in it...
